I mean, not now, but...decades from now. Kinda along the lines of secularization threads that have popped up here and there.

I get the sense that those who don't follow Christ will follow something and/or someone. Secular humanism, militant atheism, various forms of paganism, witchcraft, New Age hodge podge of beliefs, Buddhism, all that "mindfulness" stuff, on and on it goes. So..its not as if the religious and/or spiritual impulse has been removed from humanity...many people are just rejecting Christ in favor of "doing their own thing." Interestingly enough...a lot of people who are so "unique" and all end up believing...what other "unique" people believe. And...looking like other "unique, individualistic" people, too. Just another observation...

Anyway, imagine it: Europe's Christians die off and the next generation may like Jesus, but they don't follow Him. America...probably take longer, but the same process could happen here. Jesus as one of many options, Jesus as a great teacher, Jesus as an ancient Marxist, etc. Everything but...well, Jesus. Jesus who demands things and changes and heals and forgives. That guy.

Even if no one believes, what is True will still be the Truth. But...what will the world be like, you think?

There was the story of a Philippians tribe during WW2 found worshiping a straw object resembling planes they saw flying overhead? Man is the only creation of God that desires to receive anything by applying to someone higher than themselves, and they will even make gods to appeal to.

Snopes had no information, but I found articles such as the following describing their attempt to receive articles from heaven of western origin if I read it right.

Interesting question. It was the great John Lennon who said that Christianity would "vanish and shrink", and Jesus Christ would be forgotten. Whoops, all of a sudden J.L.'s words are not so great. For me I think the answer lies not so much in wondering how it might be, but in circumventing it in the first place. Active promotion of God's holy plan. Man's secular motives a far second.

Rev_7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

There never has been a time when there were no true believers. Even during the flood...or when Abraham was about...or during Elijah or Elisha.

Just didn't happen.

Today we have believers in every quarter of the globe. Missionaries in ever nation. Some are known and some are secret. The Bible is translated into every language and dialect known as well as available hard copy, audio, and digital.

It's impossible to wipe out Jew or Christian... though many have tried.

And in the end...there are still going to be both Jew and Christian.

I don't think it will ever happen. Let's suppose it did, what would it be like? Imagine a world where God can't intervene because of the hardness of mans heart. Nothing good would be the norm. Selfish desires would be sought, there will be an absence of good and so on.

I wonder that too. When I think of what things will look like decades from now I have to say things look bleak to me. Secular humanism, atheism, new age, and the list goes on and on. Seems christianity has been marginalized. It baffles me people (my own brother) think jesus is some made up myth. If people like Dawkins or Sam Harris are to be taken seriously it seems to me it's only a matter of time before believing in Jesus will wind up in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders.
It's not that I don't trust God will make a way, he will. Or that I think Christianity will die. It won't because he is risen indeed. I do have hope there will always be those who see truth. It's that I see pop culture is on a collision course with a Christian worldview. I will keep working on my family though it reminds me of Matt 10:16.

We have that to a certain extent today anyway. It will get worse but that being said it is not out of the control of our Father. I don't fully understand Revelations but it seems quite clear that even in the time of lawlessness God is still working and preserving his saints.

Jesus is greater than it all. I do think however whilst we pray for this generation we should really think about the generations that follow. We need to pray and trust

Psalms 78:6-8
so the next generation might know them—
even the children not yet born—
and they in turn will teach their own children.
So each generation should set its hope anew on God,
not forgetting his glorious miracles
and obeying his commands.
Then they will not be like their ancestors—
stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful,
refusing to give their hearts to God.

And

Exodus 20:6
But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.
