What is a plug?

Apparently you are allowed to post an advertisement in this section. A "plug" is simply a promotional mention of something, such as when actors go on talk shows and "plug" their new movies. Don't know about other browsers, but with Firefox you can just highlight the word "plug," right click, and then click to search on "plug." If you do that you get this if you have Google set as your SE:

https://www.google.com/search?q=plug&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

But just in general, when in doubt, search, especially even just the dictionary.

So I see in your profile you are listed as "Student and Ebay Seller." It would seem then that you can post a "plug" for your Ebay site or offerings here in this section, which you might want to do.

Thanks for the info!

It's a way of giving your company a little bit of juice

hello JohnDB, dirtfarmer here

What is a plug? It depends on your age. When I was a young boy you had to understand the context of which it was used.
1. There was a "plug mule". If you ever plowed with one you knew what a plug mule was. It didn't want to be in the field working and tried all day long to go to the barn and would not stay in the rows.
2.Then if you went to the store and ask for a plug, they would ask "what brand; cannon ball, brown mule", or some other name brand chewing tobacco.
3.Also a plug is what you pictured in post # 6.
4.Later a plug became know as advertising.
5.Of course you could buy a plug to repair your tire, also.

Today, people don't plow with mules much, nor do many chew tobacco, and if you get a flat tire, you probably buy a new tire. So< since most of these have gone by the wayside, a plug is advertising a product.

If anyone moves to the Columbus Ohio area, and needs any HVAC related work done, call Edward. He's good and honest...

A plug for myself. :clap

See?

You ol tin knocker....
You really ought to come to Nashville...there is too much work here. We have a construction labor shortage.

(Plug for Nashville)

Are you going to plug your eBay listings or anything biz related, gerbilgirl?

P.S. I see it says you are a "liberal Christian." Do you mean politically or theologically? Interesting, what does that mean really?

Also noticed your autism related avatar. Was just reading about something related to that earlier today.

Trust me...you don't need to. I can hire someone to do it for you...they really will play for food around here...or if you look like you might listen to their song.

That's a good point. I could get behind that lol.

Your problem is that you know way too much...
