on post 36..did you accidentally miss the word Sabbath there...or did you intend to cover the things that have been done away with and hope we put the Sabbath in there by mistake
By 'that' I meant 'Sabbath'.

Proper Sabbath observance was a condition for staying in covenant with God in the first covenant. It no longer determines whether we remain in covenant relationship with God or not. **Faith in Christ does now.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything the least bit wrong with keeping it...as long as it is not done for purposes of justification...either to be justified (declared righteous), or to be justified as being one who has faith (IOW, shown to have been declared righteous).

if we have enmity it is not with the body of brothers it is with the ungodly structure that as power over the body and that uses parts of the it to create an image of what it wants Christs bride to be,...a kind of Frankinstein monster with the wrong parts in the wrong place. Released and living as God desires then all the parts would be free the prepare for the groom

I'm sorry. I referenced the wrong post when I answered this before.

I believe the Sabbath is a first covenant regulation, as 'first covenant' is defined in Hebrews. It belongs to the system of appointed times and dates that God gave the Israelites for bringing sacrifices to Him:

"37 These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing offerings made to the LORD by fire—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings required for each day." (Lev. 23:37 NIV1984)

A system which is now entirely obsolete as to it's role as a covenant through which we draw near to, and are accepted by, God. That first covenant having been replaced by the New Covenant, Jesus Christ, with it's new Temple, Sacrifice, and Priesthood. That is how the people of God are now required to draw near to, and worship God.

I carry this burden, too. And I'm learning to have better discernment between the ungodly structure itself and the least, but still precious, members of Christ's body entangled in it.

accepting all that the Sabbath leads to and the fulfillment of all things is Christ. Is the covenant ended?..because that's where I came in....I'm being lead to find the truth

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
