why do the scriptures say grace was found in Noah? when did or did Noah ever lose grace? what did it have to be found?

if I take the greek meaning I have to read this verse by Paul below as

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
for we are not under the law, but under kindness?

I think two good word definitions for grace as we might understand it would be "understanding" and "forgiveness". Both acts are of love. Grace is a lot of things within that line of understanding. Love, forgiveness, mercy....ect.

As for Gen 6:8, the bible is describing Noah as a man who loved God, who walked with God meaning he wanted to be a righteous man of God. Further the bible is sort of separating Noah from other men of that time. So, it is trying to speak of Noah in stark contrast to men of that time. So grace was not something that Noah had and God found it in his possession, rather Noah is the subject, or Object of God's Grace.

Eph 1:7 speaks of a payment Jesus made for our redemption; a payment given for us by, or though, God's Grace...IE Love, Mercy ect....a payment we can not afford and so he makes it for us. That is Grace.

Let's say you go to a grocery store and you see a woman and her kids trying to buy food but they have no money, and the store owner says; "it's Ok. Take the food". That is offering Grace. Weak analogy, but along those same lines.

"Unmerited favor" is how the Calvinists describe grace, and I think that is a very good description.

The loving-kindness of God is not something that we, rebellious sinners, all of us, up to and including Noah, deserve. All of us are sinners and all of us rightfully deserve judgment. That, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" is the clearest example of God's grace, the fact that even though we deserved punishment, He extended forgiveness and loving-kindness to us.

so what exactly is this unmerited favor? and what did you do to obtain it even today.
however you want to read Genesis about Noah he was under Grace as all the creation was.
Jesus died for our past sins.

what is grace? what is the free gist or unmerited favor Jesus has given us?

The Father explains it here and we all know this verse yet we have not understood the magnitude
