I understood that they believe that Jesus was a man who became the god for our planet, and that he and Satan were brothers before Jesus was born as a man. All mormon men can become gods and beget spirit children on their own planet if they obey their laws and jump through their hoops. Women can only go the the 3rd heaven if their husband call them.
When a missionary and an older elder came to my door, the elder stated that they believe the same as we do about who Jesus is. I said "No you don't, you believe (the above.) He did not deny it. I said that I believe that Jesus was in the beginning with the Father Jn 1. It went on like this for 1/2 hour. The young guy said I was being argumentative and that is from SATAN! I said that even Paul argued in the market place and we are supposed to be able to give an account for our beliefs. Finally the old guy said "You know we only come here because we loooove you." I have heard this several times before. They must rehearse this because it is always sickenly gushy. I replied "no you don't. If you really loved me you wouldn't be coming here telling me all these lies!" That is when they left.

So no I don't want a Mormon for a president. He will choose Mormons for all his appointees just as Obama chose radical socialists, people who believe in euthanasia and killing babies, and bullys to be among his. Neither will support the nation of Israel. Obama's only real paying job was as a political activist, organizing things like the wall street protests to cause political unrest which could lead to riots. He believes in Liberation Theology, which combines liberal christianity with Marxism. He said he doen't support Black Liberation Theology because that is prejudice. He doesn't know if he is going to heaven. Liberation Theology believes that Moses and Christ were just examples to us to identify with the poor and downtrodden. He believes in "spreading the wealth around" but not to the elderly or chronicly ill--only to the poor working people, and not even to just citizens. He thinks our constitution is flawed and has bypassed it several times by presidential edit while Congress was not in session.
Being forced to choose between these two candidates is repulsive. To vote for another party would be throwing my vote away.

I have not read the site but I don't need to. I was once a Mormon myself so I know a lot firsthand. Just remember the LDS have a neat way of getting around what they really believe and teach by saying "well it's not official doctrine".

Yes Mormons teach that people with dark skin are that way because of a curse. Until the 1970's if you had a drop of blood in you from such ancestors you could not hold the priesthood which meant you could not get as high up in heaven as a white person could. You could not go to the temple so you could not be married in the afterlife and have spirit babies with your many wives and you could not populate your own planet like the mormon god did and his father god before him and his father god before him, etc.

What is ironic about Mormon history is that Joseph Smith had black priesthood holders in the church and it was not until Brigham Young had to deal with converts from the south bringing their slaves to Utah that he made the claim that now they could not.

Ironically my wife started reading a biography of a gal who was brought up in polygamy within the Mormon sect.

According to this gal, they were taught that Adam was God incarnate. Also, men would be elevated to God status by the number of wives and children they had and they would rule worlds in the life to come. maybe this is where $cientology came up with that crazy idea... As far as a woman, being part of a plogamist marriage took them one step closer to becoming a goddess.

The gal married at the age of 16 and was the second wife of this young man who was 23 and still in college. The first wife was actually her sister. The women are told that to attain goddess status, they must deny themselves of their fleshfull feelings of jealousy etc. This really came out when she went to marry the husband of her sister and the sister didn't take it very well.

She recounted the ceramony where the husband and first wife are hand in hand at the altar and the second wife is holding the hand of the first wife. The pastor or whatever you call him asks the first wife something like if she accepts the second wife as the wife of her husband and if she accepts, then the first wife then steps aside and the second wife and man join hands and the ceremony proceeds.

I couldn't imagine... that's just hell on earth.
