What is SAVED?

I didn't say YOU set the standard.
God sets the standards.
I said you have very high standards. That's different.
Oh, okay. Sorry I misunderstood and I appreciate the clarification. My hope is that my standards align with God. That is certainly not to say that I live up to those standards for I know I fall pitifully short "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 NKJV

But I also have hope that I am "justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." Romans 3:24-26 NKJV

Hi WIP
No problem. Glad you allowed me to clarify.

Re the above...
Couldn't agree more!
We are justified by grace through our faith 100% by the desire of God to save us.
We have faith...We are justified and saved.

So hypothetically, I believe that Jesus really is the son of God, he really died for my sin and he really rose from the dead, just like it says on the back of this fake $20 bill tract that I found.
So as long as I keep on believing this, even if I never do anything else, I am saved, I get to stay saved and I get to go to heaven ... Right?

[Back up your answer with scripture, because opinions are like bellybuttons ... everyone has one.]

I don't think so. Both Scripture and history tells us that one needs to live according to Christ.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. (Eph. 5:5 KJV)
