What is sin? What is law?

I guess my question is, and I think it would be Messianic Jews who could answer this best: if there is goodness in the law today, how much should be observed?

As much as you are able to. If there is a law that you cannot observe due to some life circumstance, then try to rearrange your life to allow its observance. Yeshua said, "Go and sin no more." In other words, "Go and do not break the law anymore." If we do break it, we need to confess, repent and receive forgiveness. Repent means to turn the other way and not keep doing whatever it was that was wrong.

I think sin is more than just transgression of the written law. I think it involves any form of rebellion against God in either mind or heart. "For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God..." Exodus 20:5 NKJV

All forms of rebellion break the written law for it breaks the greatest commandment; Thou shalt love Yahweh thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
