Edward and I have been friends for awhile on the forum. My husband and I took a vacation to Colorado and met with him last weekend. Sometime social media becomes a place where people share their opinions in post after post and nothing else. It is my "opinion" that social media is a place where you can be "social" and meet people that you would never have met before. I have met some of the greatest people on places like facebook, linkedin, and now the forum. Here is a picture of Edward and I at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. The other guy in the picture is his son Deen. We had a great time together. View attachment 4545
 
Ah, super cool! We had a great time with you and your husband Sandy. I'm also glad that I was able to boot the boy out of bed and get him to come too. I may be getting through to him little by little and planting some seeds. I always try to encourage him to hang out some and to be around some decent people instead of his normal crowd. I think that's important.

Next time, it's our turn to come to your place to visit! :)

You are welcome any time. We have some great places to hike also. It was wonderful to meet you son. We will have to pray for him, prayer works!
 
Search for me and you will find me; call my name and I will answer from an arena; for I dwell on a large green field where at its expanse a huge circle exists, and flanked by opposing elevens: the elevens surrounded and engulfed by a giant semi circle. I dwell on that land where a choir waits for periods and all of a sudden shouts a particular word with one accord, while the other half of the choir bend their head in shame.

It's great when we can meet face to face and we will all get that chance when Christ returns :sohappy. How blessed you and Edward are to meet and share with each other. Colorado is my dream vacation as my husband use to live there when he was a kid. Maybe I'll get that chance someday. Keeping your son in my prayers Edward :pray.
 
Thank you, for_his_glory. A few others have threatened to come meet me (lol) but no one except Sandy & Greg so far. There's quite a few brothers and sisters that I'd like to meet from this board. Colorado is like a permanent vacation, I love it here! :)
 
Sure do. Living here is the ultimate. Most vacations can be had for gas alone. Avoiding the tourist traps isn't hard when one lives here. Camping is my favorite. Bighorn sheep are everywhere, and other wildlife. I have a buddy who is on the Cave of the Winds search and rescue team and he took us on a cave tour that tourists can not go to. There's also a big herd of tame deer at Royal Gorge bridge which one can feed and get a lot pf good pics with. I think I told you about that.

Hey that's a good idea. We could arrange a CF get together some summer and a bunch of us get together to meet and BBQ and fellowship. probably have to be arranged a year out to give everyone a chance to make plans and so forth.

Colorado is nice and central. We could do it here. I bet I could put up 20 people in my house if I needed to. Bring sleeping bags of course, lol.

Yes you told me about all of that stuff. You definitely know the good places to go.

I could digup Walt for some back up music and so Greg could have a break here and there too. i don't know how much interest there would be in such a plan from members of the board here. Perhaps the idea could be pitched in a thread of it's own to see how much interest there would be? Is Colorado the best place for it? Is there a area of the states which have more members in the area as opposed to central? Which month of the summer would be best for it, schedule wise for members? June? July?

Would Claudya and Classik fly in for it? lol.
 
Colorado is central to the U.S. Actually North Platte, Nebraska is the center of the US, but Colorado Springs in close. If there is another place, that is more central to people in the forum, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.
