What is the meaning of your name?

What is the meaning of your name...your first-name precisely?

I won't state mine. I would state the meaning and I believe we can provide the name.

I'm "God with us". I have many names and Classik is less commonly used (tho abbreviated).

So what is the meaning of your name? Or do you just bear a name whose meaning you don't know? Shame. Hehe

Right on brother! Everyone should know the meaning of their name. Edward means Wealthy Guardian.
 
the greek word for doctor, it came from the legend Jason and the Argonauts. my middle name is micheal
 
My name is Kathi on CF.Pretty self explanatory :dancing I am really Kathleen.My nickname is Kathi.I have alot of Irish in my family.Black Irish if you know the history of the Spanish and the Irish.Kathleen is a good Irish name :)
 
Something like Increasing in YHWH or May YHWH add.


It makes me happy to know that my name has my Heavenly Father's name.

My names together would be "May YHWH Add" "Twin" "Running Water (according to parents)".

I interpret it myself as a possibility of meaning something along the lines as either "May YHWH add as he tries to become like him in tears" (due to the fact that I've come to God many times in tears offering a contrite heart) or "May YHWH add as he becomes like Christ who is a fountain springing up into everlasting life".

But while I'm uncertain about my last name I am at least positive about my first name.


Name meanings fascinate me.

This girl I once foolishly had a crush on, and was a friend with, well... Her name meant something like entangled with men or something like that. It was surprisingly true. When I expressed love to her I eventually found out she cheats on her boyfriend, who she oddly only called a friend when she talked about him to me. I've forgiven her in my heart, but unfortunately she's still on satan's side as far as I know. Haven't seen her in years. Saw her once though working in a store though recently. I avoided her like the plague, and haven't gone there again.

Coincidence?

My first given name is Gaelic. I discovered some years ago that it means "Foolish Monster."

My parents were under the impression it meant something equivalent to "High King." Personally, I prefer "Foolish Monster." I take it as a good circumstance, since God often uses misfits to perform amazing feats for His glory.

I think its preferable to choose another name when we discover a name has a negative meaning.
At times names can speak against someone or they have a way of affecting people's lives

God had to change those folks names in the OT
