Saturn. Has an asteroid belt around it, made of gas, and big enough to fit a few earths in it. It is made of awesomeness. :yes

Remember Pluto is no longer a Planet. I really didn't like that but it's what it is.
But Jupiter is my favorite because it's the first planet I saw in my scope.

Nice scope! I'm assuming you saw Jupiter first cause it's massive?!. It's strange that technically Pluto isn't a planet - didn't they find a tenth planet (or ninth now!) and that's bigger than pluto?

Not so much that , but it was what was out when I first started to learn where to look. It was awsome I cound see the cloudbelts ! It was really small in the scope, but clearly could see them as well as a few of it's moons.
There was Eris , but IAU members voted to demote Eris to dwarf-planet status, ( like Pluto) :crying leaving the solar system with only eight planets.

LOL I remember protest! petitions to keep Pluto a planet. Cause quite the uproar!!

I voted for earth after Caroline lobbied for our homeworld. All you people are voting on planet's that may not be NEARLY as cool as pictures lead us to believe. I mean, if John's mistrust for 911's factuallity has taught us anything it is that what we have witnessed with our very own eyes can even be misleading... Wait...then how do we know we are on earth.... John, Get the scientists together!!!

But of course Earth! :clap

All you people who voted any other way are free to leave our beautiful, bright, blue ball of water, earth and sky and live elsewhere! :chair

:D

I'm picking Uranus. I'm standing up for the underdog. It's the Rodney Dangerfield of planets, it gets no respect.

And, Uranus is a very pretty planet, with a ring and moons as well.

:shocked!

Ok, preemptive warning; the first person who cracks a Uranus joke is banned! :naughty

:biglaugh

Wow John_O, nice telescope!

Other than the obvious, I think I like Jupiter.

Hey John, how's the view of Mars lately!
