Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,This is exactly right! The word of God is to get us to believe on Him (Jesus Christ) whom He hath sent. Of course we hardly every use "hath" today, but it means "has" sent. Then the only problem could be what 'has sent" means? Does is mean He was sent about 2,000 years ago, so that we can't hear from Him today? Or does it mean that He has been sent so we are believing in someone that is with us now?
Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
How does God speak to us?
Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
