If we believe as the bible says that Homosexual behavior is an abomination What should we do about i

Ezekiel 3:18. "When I say to the wicked, `You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
19. "Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

Colossians 1:28. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

It is a form of hate no matter what you say because if ask the person you are forcing if they feel they are being treated with hate and you will see. Hate is Hate not just the hate you choose to see

You may see it as hate, but to warn them that what they are doing is a sin and will lead to death if they do not repent of that sin. Is love not hate... For God so loved the world that he gave he only begotten son.... But for you to not do anything and just let them live their live the way they want to and let God deal with them is Hate, because you are just going to sit and let them go to hell.

I think everyone knows that a majority of christians are against homosexuality. I dont see why some have to pursue it further. It is ok to say your opinion (to an extent) but i dont think it is ok to take it into effect if it hates against others.

I dont think ANYONE here, could support the kkk, and think they deserve the right to send hate messages, and i see the ban on homosexuality an attempt at the same thing (not exactly, but close)

C'mon people now, smile on your brother, Everybody get together, Try and love one another, right now.

No No I am all for you to speak out and say you believe God thinks it’s a sin and try to teach them not to do it. That there is LOVE.
But when you turn from that and want to force them I feel it is just the opposite.

I guess I just see things in a different light. I cherish the Laws God set forth for me and I will follow them 100% but I feel I would be breaking them if I were to force others to follow them. The things I disagree with you on all the issues you will see all pertains to other peoples lives and that is why I speak out because I think the love/hate line is crossed when you start talking Laws/Force. As for my own life I agree with you on most things.

We can't legislate Christian morality, otherwise we are running a socialist government. The US is a secular nation, not Christian no matter what people think it is. Wanting to make homosexuality illegal is just asking for people to think Christians are idiots, bigots and hate mongers.

I live within 30 miles of Fred Phelps the idiot who claims to work for God by protesting homosexuals funerals and every event that may have a homosexual in it. Making his 3 yr old grandson walk around with a sign that reads "God hates F**s". I see the destruction to the gospel this idiot does. There is no love in his message at all. I don't want the church to be associated with this type of thing. Hate is not the message.

We need to love people, while making them understand that we do not agree with homosexuality. But we love them in spite of the sin. That is the only way we will reach anyone in this situation for Christ. If we start making laws we will only force people away from Christ, sending a perceived message of hate and looking like idiots.

I have talked to homosexuals in the past about this issue. They were blown away when I told them that I didn't think they were horrible. I explained to them that they had a sin, just like anyone else on earth. They listened as I explained that God loved them. Now is this a better way to handle homosexuals than banning their existence?

I can understand, 100% if you think being homosexual is wrong. I can understand that. people think alot of things are wrong.
But its not right to try to take it from someoen else.
Following a diffrent faith is against the word of god. because god says there is only one true faith. So why dont you also ban judaism? islam? buhdism. taoism, anything. why?
This to me seems to not be an attack on someone because god told you too, it seems that it is an attack because you dont agree with them.

Huj,

You do realize your argument is self-refuting, don't you? Adding side-line comments to spin the thread into another rant doesn't help your position. Nor mask your lack of grasping the subject at hand.

With luv, and prayers,

So true but are you aware that the United States was founded on Christian principals however.

Great points. We, as in Christians, are to love not hate.

Sodomy is an abomination to God. It is a grave sin.

Murder is a grave sin.

Bestiality is a grave sin.

Thievery is a sin,

To follow the liberalists logic NOTHING should be legislated against.

No God means no such thing as sin, nothing can be right or wrong.

Let people do as they please.

I will grant you that a lot of this country was founded holding some of the same principals as Christians but you must remember not only Christians hold those values and a lot of them same values were held by certain groups even before Christianity one would think.

To follow the liberalists logic NOTHING should be legislated against.

Unless it violates ones freedom. Because your freedom must end where mine starts or there would be NO freedom it would only be the strong survive and that would clearly be wrong.

They think crimes against man should be punished. Just not things some call crimes that don't hurt someone else.

I believe homosexuality is wrong. I believe being a practicing homosexual is living in sin. I also believe being a practicing liar is living in sin. In my eyes, there is not much difference between these two. Both are sin, and both will separate us from Christ. Though I believe being a practicing homosexual will be a HUGE stumbling block in one's relationship with Christ, I believe it is not my place to say someone cannot be both homosexual and Christian, no more than it is my place to say someone cannot be a liar and be Christian (or someone who struggles with porn, or someone who is sexually promiscuous).

christianity isnt the only thing that teaches people morals,
Its not the only thing that teaches us right from wrong.
allowing 2 consenting adults to practice homosexuality is much different than allowing someone to kill a non consenting individual, or steal from a non consenting car owner.

What should be done with homosexuals

Why would anyone get into a tizzy about homosexuals. I have seen their gay pride gatherings on the news , do you know why thet are more out there now then ever? Because others are giving them more power by hateing them , they are becomeing more angrey and want more attention.
I truly think that we should pray for them , and if ask speak to them about what God has to say about their practices. If they take it in and change thank the Lord if not they will be judeged by God. Its not up to me to judge jury and exacutioner in a sence , God will do that and all the hate some Christians show just makes all Christians look like a hateful bunch of people.

They are not out they more because of hate. They are out they because of tolerances for their behavior. The more tolerance we become of their sin the more active they become, the more they flaunt their perversion in our faces and our kids face... Just look at how it is "in" for teenage girls to kiss and carry on with the encouragement of the boys. Thats because it is tolerated and encouraged not hated.

I agree that their are some who hate them with a passion and those are the ones that seem to be out front speaking out against their sin. Those are the one the media like to show, just to help undermine our christian faith and to make all of us Christian look like a hateful bunch of intolerant idiots.
Don't misunderstand, I don't think we should be tolerant of their sin and just sit back and say they aren't bothering me, God will deal with them.

if it doesnt bother others, i dont think anyone has a right to go and mess with it.

So you dont agree with it. I can understand if you have to watch 2 males together doing some explicit things infront of you, But i doubt that would happen (i have seen many a photo of heterosexual couples being caught making whoopie in the open)

One bad apple spoils the bunch
People like jerry falwell give christians a worse name than alot of you truly diserve.

I may think your wrong, i may think your misguided, but if you leave me alone, i can love you just the same.

Here's my thoughts on the matter.

If we make a law that says homosexualilty is illegal, we should also make a law that says adultery or fornication is illegal. Put all high schoolers who have sex in jail for their sinful behavior.

Homosexualilty is a sin, and is a speck in the eye of those who do it. But how can you even see it when you have a plank in your own eye?

In my personal honest opinion the following option is the best :-

Let them live their life how they see fit because what they do don’t affect my life God will judge them.

Wild, I agree...lock up all teenagers :-D :-D :-D

We should let God judge them, but we should reach out to them in love also.

The point up above also relates to Christian parenthood and teaching their children right from wrong, not sheltering them in a "perfect" Christian bubble. Kids will see sex...you can't hide them forever. The point is to teach them the purpose of sex and what is permissable.
