What will you NOT eat?

I do not like cooked bell peppers. Disgusting! And if you make a dish with peppers and then take them out the dish still has the flavor of 'em. Yech!

Also, I do not like Hummus. Nasty!

I LOVE hummus!

I won't eat beans only because I am allergic to them (which sucks because I really like Chili). Everytime I eat baked beans or kidney beans, I can feel my throat start to swell up.

As far as foods that taste bad, I absolutely positively cannot stand the taste of black licorice. I will never forget the day when my grandfather introduced me to black licorice. I was 5-years-old at the time. I am now 32, and I still remember that taste like it was yesterday. :verysick

Now that it's been mentioned, black licorice is nasty.

I agree on this one. I'm also not too big of a fan on ravioli. I always had to force myself to eat them. I prefer to eat them without the sauce if I do.

Now blood is the one thing that is truly sinful to consume. When God allowed any and all animals to be eaten for the first time, when Noah and his family got off the ark, God forbade the eating of their blood. Genesis 9:3-4 This was reinforced with the Law Leviticus 7:26-27 and then, in the New Testament, when the Law's dietary restrictions were removed, the fact that we need to refrain from eating blood was still kept intact. Acts 15:29

There has never, in the history of the world, been a time when God has allowed for the consumption of blood.

I think jasoncran or StoveBolts could answer this better, but I do believe that there is in Judaism the principle that preservation of human life supersedes all law. The idea being that one is to live by the Law, not die from it. If this is the case in the Law... then I think it would carry over to this as well.

I have heard of that. that could apply here but I cant think of an example save certain foods that are posionious at one time and now are not. ie pork.in the past wasn't really healthy to eat, now its not so bad to eat.

blood? if one has to eat blood that would be a problem as well you are being tortured. ya kind have to kill an animal. the jewish dietery laws that dora is saying that is being overridden. its like this you haven't been able to afford meat that is lawful. you know that a pig isn't deadly. you see one and you kill it. this could happen in the Babylonian sieges of the Judean kingdom.

Edward. how does one get blood? by killing the animal at first. if you can get that then you do have the option to eat meat. if you notice all the dietary laws are negated saved that one. see the acts 15 chapter on what the gentile believers should do, and what jesus said to the church in revalation.

remember while the torah has some burdens to do it, It was not so heavy that it couldn't be done in those. it has rules for when you didn't have a priest and temple to offer up the atonement. it also had a lot of love to it. it was meant for the Hebrews in that age only.it was very revolutionary.

I hear a lot of friends say that when pregnant they have gone off certain foods and never been able to see it without feeling nauseous... wonder what will happen with me!

When my Mother was pregnant with me if she ate spaghetti I would make her vomit. (Sorry, nicest word for it I could think of). To this day, when she makes spaghetti, my family loves it, but she doesn't.

Angel I prefer angel hair with butter, no sauce. Maybe with swai fish. It's good that way. :p

I agree! Noodles with butter are good. :) I am part italian so I love the food. I get cravings for vinegar too, lol. Any dilled vegetable is good. If you ask me, pickled collaflower is better than cheesecake!
