if he did not eat the forbidden fruit it would still be the garden of eden - heaven on earthWould there be a Fall?
He and Eve would still be taking care of God's garden.Would there be a Fall?
Would there be a Fall?
Maybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?Would there be a Fall?
if he did not eat the forbidden fruit it would still be the garden of eden - heaven on earth
if he did not turn against God and listen to / believe the devil he would not have fallen
a lesson to us that in small and large ways the more we believe/trust/obey God the better our life will be
also a lesson to NOT believe the devil - the devil was not trying to help adam/us - he's out to hurt us because he was the first dummy to turn against God - Isaiah 14:14 - it's real dumb to trust the devil and mistrust God - John 10:10
Maybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?
I think yes.
Maybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?
I think yes.
If there was no fall then there would be no reason for Jesus to come.Maybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?
I think yes.
amen - and we'd all be together in the garden walking with God(Father/Son/Holy Spirit) and each other with love and truth and goodness - no death - no pain - no diseaseHe and Eve would still be taking care of God's garden.
imo God is/was/will always be Father/Son/Holy SpiritMaybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?
I think yes.
yes - i can see that as a possibilityI've thought about this before. Eve was deceived but Adam did it knowingly.
I think if Adam had not ate the fruit, that Eve would have still fell, and been separated from God. Adam prolly considered this, and out of Love for Eve, ate it also...so they would be together at least...?
I've heard it preached that Adam & Eve lived in the garden of Eden for 7 years before they fell...(I dunno if that's accurate or not)
this is the truthBut Eve still fell. Jesus would have came. As I understand it, Jesus wrote a book about (every individual's) life, before the foundation of the world. So mankind was bound to fall.
this is the truth
yes - i can see that as a possibility
the hypothetical of "if adam and eve did not disobey willfully or ignorantly" is how i approached the op's question
now if we want to go deeper into this issue as you are doing - then i would say another question could be "if adam and eve did not sin by disobeying God willfully or ignorantly would one of us have done it?"
then i would have to say YES - probably someone after adam and eve would have sinned in the same 2 kinds of ways they did - willfully or ignorantly - so in that case it was better that adam and eve did it first so that Jesus could come in the flesh to save all who love God and accept Jesus God the Son made flesh
i was purposely keeping to just the idea of what would it be like if there was no sin- fall - curse - and avoiding the fact that God knew before He created adam and eve that they would disobey - sin - fall - bring the curse on everything God created
iow i was approaching this topic as a fun hypothetical rather than a serious in depth theological discussion
i do appreciate the deep theological discussion too - and probably the conclusion to that would be that God knew all this was going to happen and pre-planned for it - slaying Jesus the lamb of God before the foundation of the world - 1 Peter 1:20 - Revelation 13:8
yes - and easily tempted and easily decievedNot that He made us fall, but knew that we would. Slow learners that we are, lol.
yes - i know what you meanSorry about that Brother! Sometimes it's hard to not stray from the topic as put forth, lol. And I just start typing. ..even now I'm resisting the urge to add even more that's, about Adam & Eve but unrelated to your topic, Lol...
Maybe not....they didn't notice they were naked until they ate the forbidden fruit.and we'd all be together in the garden
I suppose it all depends on which view of atonement one ascribes to.If there was no fall then there would be no reason for Jesus to come.
Prior to the fall, A&E were in perfect, sinless, submission to God.
If there is no sin then there is no death.
If there is no death then there is no need for salvation from death.
