Post your favorite 'Once Saved Always Saved' passage here, and, if you want, a BRIEF explanation of why it's your favorite.

My very favorite? Thanks for asking! Here it is:

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

I especially like this scripture because it follows right after what I like to call, "A Fisherman's Recipe for Blindness" (a list of stuff to do and get and to add unto that says, 'he that lacketh these things is blind', but you've seen that already 'cause we're not blind, right?).

Psalm 23:6b:
"...and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever".

I think Jethro wants to make a list of all OSAS people here on the forum.

keep this thread light or the old fashion :rollingpin will be knocking heads

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God wants each one who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ TO KNOW WITHOUT THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT that he/she has eternal life (present tense). That is solid assurance that no one who is born of God can be "unborn" and lose their salvation, which is eternally secure.

To believe "on the name of the Son of God" is to believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is GOD OUR SALVATION, and that He is Immanuel (GOD WITH US), and that His finished work of redemption is sufficient to guarantee our salvation.

Now why would I want a list of everyone who is OSAS on this forum?

What's your favorite isolated fear tactic verse?

"And if thou barketh not the bark of an hound, and if thou rollest not on the floor, then shall it be evidence that thou lackest the Holy Ghost. And if thou hast meowed, thou hast lost thy salvation. If thou payest the CEO thou shalt save thy soul, but then if thou should leavest the local church, thou shalt see an everlasting damantion. Thou shalt also boast about how much thou sinnest less then thy brethren that they may know that you are better than everyone else" 5 Corinthians 6:3-9 (C.f. the 6th book of Abraham 3:9)

I'm no brain surgeon...oh, wait, yes I am.....but anyway...I suspect you have an ax to grind(?)

Okay, names and addresses and bedtimes for all those who posted have been noted. :lol

Now it's my turn. Here is my favorite OSAS verse:

9 No * one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot * sin, because he is born of God.

:eek2

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16 KJV

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. Leviticus 20:26 KJV

Brother, it's clear that the term you are looking for is: Rocket Scientist.

"I'm no Rocket Scientist, but I suspect you have an ax to grind".

Since you are clearly a brain surgeon...
