In order to take into consideration of all the events of the end times, we have to account for Ezekiel's prophecy. In chapters 38, 39 Ezekiel tells us that there are 7 months and 7 years that have to be included in the end times picture. The 7 months is how long it takes for the dead to be buried. The 7 years is how long it takes for the Jews to burn the seized weapons from the Gog and Magog war.

The king of the north (now Putin) will ally himself with several Muslim nations in order to attack Israel. Some of these Muslim nations are Turkey, Iran, Somalia, and others. These nations gather in the northern part of Israel and come down upon Jerusalem. However, God intervenes. All the armies of these nations are destroyed by a massive earthquake. They even turn against each other due to the confusion resulting from the supernatural earthquake and other disasters.

Now, in order to make all the prophetic pieces fit together, the Gog and Magog war must occur at least 3 1/2 years BEFORE the Tribulation. That way, the Jews will be able to burn all the weapons BEFORE the second half of the Trib ends. The 7 year covenant between the Antichrist and the nation of Israel is the beginning of the Trib.

The 7 year covenant begins the Trib, not the Rapture. The Rapture can happen any time BEFORE the signing of the covenant. By the mid point of the Trib. all the dead will have been buried, and the 7 years of burning the weapons conclude at this mid point. It is a this time the the Antichrist moves into Jerusalem and Christ tells the Jews to flee to the mountains (mostly in Petra, Bozrah) in modern Jordan.

The second half of the trib is when all hell breaks loose. WWIII begins. More than 2 billion people will be killed during the Trib. One fourth and then one third die at separate times during the Trib.

The order of prophetic events are as follows:

The Gog and Magog invasion (before the Trib begins)
The Rapture
The 7 year covenant' (the Trib begins)
The rise of the Antichrist
WWIII
Armageddon
Second Coming
Millennium

What are your Biblical resources for all of this such as the scriptures that support what you say?

If you are a bible student, you should know how to confirm the scriptures. For example, the 7 years of burning the weapons for fuel is Ezek 39.9, and if you look at 39.12 you will see reference to the 7 months of burying the enemies.

Study the OT major and minor prophets and you will find a lot of information on the prophecies of the end times. There is so much you won't be able to retain it all. Don't rely on just reading. You need to find commentaries to explain what it is that you are reading, use commentaries that are pro and con your theology. Don't be intimidated by reading those who disagree with you.

Hi MisterE,

I mostly agree with what you have said. But a couple of differences you may want to consider.

1. The Northern army (with many others) will start the Day of the Lord. (God Almighty in judgment) We are NOT in the time. (Joel 2: 1 & 2)

2. The 7 years burning is IN the trib.

Looking forward to discussing more. Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn,
1. The signing of the 7 year covenant is what starts the Day of the Lord according to most who hold to Dispensationalism and Pre-Trib positions.

2. The reason the burning of the weapons can not start at the 7 year Day of the Lord is because the nation of Israel is no longer in Israel but have fled to Petra/Bozrah in modern Jordan at the mid-way point of the covenant. This is why I believe that burning of the weapons starts at least 3 1/2 years before the DOL.

Please explain why you hold to number 1 and 2 above. I appreciate your willingness to discuss this.

Hi ME,

Glad you want to discuss. Now both 1 & 2 relate to Joel ch. 2 and Ez. 38. Perhaps we can have a closer look at them.

In Joel 2, we read of the northern army that God has sent to the mountains of Israel for judgment.

`But I will remove far from you the northern army, and will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, with his face toward the eastern sea and his back toward the western sea; his stench will come up, and his foul odor will rise, because he has done monstrous things.` (Joel 2: 20)

And Joel 2: 1 tells us that it is the start of the Day of the Lord. Yes, I know people say the signing of the covenant starts the Day, but actually it starts a tad earlier when the Russian Federation is brought sown by the Lord. (Ez. 38: 4 `I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws...)

Ezekiel 38: 15 `Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you,....`

`Far north` in Hebrew means the northern quarter of the earth.

`Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons......will make fires with them for 7 years.` (Ez. 38: 9)

See that there are people in the cities of Israel which shows that the time is at the beginning of the trib, not the end.

Any thoughts?

I am not so sure I would see Joel 2 as a prophetic event taking place in the last days. Many commentators see these armies described in Ch 2 as a continuation from Joel Ch 1 and refer to these armies as locusts. I have not given adequate study of Joel 2 to determine what is being said.

Of course, Ez 38 is definitely a war that takes place in the last days. The Russian armies fight along side Turkey, Iran, Somalia, and other Muslim nation in the northern mountains of Israel. God destroys all these armies in north Israel and they are devastated, fighting among each other, do to this weakening of these nations, the Antichrist will see his opportunity to take over the world. The reason I have said that the Gog/Magog war takes place probably about 3 1/2 years before the start of the Day of the Lord/Tribulation is because the burning of the weapons takes 7 years, and Israel will still be in their land. we also have to account for the 7 months of them burying the dead.

Who are the authors you read with reference to the end time prophecies?

I have most of my end (of the Gentiles ruling) times prophecies from `Fires before the dawn` by Ps. A. Gardiner. (gone to glory now). Also, from teachers at Bible College.

I believe the key to all of this is `the Day of the Lord,` and Joel 2 (when you have time to study it) tells when that starts.
