You do not agree with him in what sense?

1. That he submitted to the church's will and included them?

OR

2. That he thought they should not be included?

Number 2. It was his opinion which he was entitled to. But I disagree with it, as did most other Church leaders before and after him. Submission however is only a good thing if one feels confident that they are not "disobeying" God in their obeying of men.

Just to clarify then..... you agree with the councils' decisions on the OT books?

Your caveat clouds the your stance on the issue.

Adams Son,

I believe that there could definately be some books of both OT & NT that were excluded that really should have been accepted. But this cannot be proven, and nobody had the authority to change what we have. It wouldn't matter if it were the Pope, Billy Graham, leaders of large organizations, or anyone else in the world. For anyone to claim that other books should be included would be labeled as a heretic and guilty of adding to the Word of God. Yet Jesus quoted from some of the books excluded from the OT. I believe we can use these books as secondary to the bible and gain good info from them, but we can never make them equal with what we have as scripture today.
You have ask me what I believe. Now what is it that you believe. What is your argument here anyway? I do not know what I am arguing with you about! What are we disagreeing on?
