When you can't fulfil your promise

Some have made some vows. Good. Some end up not fulfilling any. Don't promise God what you can't do.

What should a person do when he can't fulfil the promise he/she made to God???

For instance:
I love God. I'll give a million bucks in ten days. 12 years now, I don't even have up to 3 bucks.

It depends on if you're talking about deer or money. ;)

Well first of all I'd think not to make a promise you know you can't or may not be able to keep.

But breaking promises will happen. I guess the only thing you can do then is ask forgiveness and ask God to help you do better.
I suppose you could ignore that you ever made the promise, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Be slow to think, be slow to speak and always, and I mean always never do anything above what you know is impossible of yourself to accomplish. Oh, and one more thing pray before you make such an important decision of promising anything.

Sometimes some of those guys on pulpit make you promise what you don't have. They tell you: believe by faith, give all, borrow (if possible).....
