Where Are We? - Baseball

I've been gone for a while. Let's see how the baseball season is panning out.

Cardinals - right where they want to be - I expect them to win another World Series

Yankees - it's sad watching an organization collapse like this

Tigers - tough division (chuckle, chuckle)

Phils - well ...

Have I missed anyone?

The Brewers made a half-hearted push toward knocking the Cardinals out of the playoffs, but they just could not get passed the Reds, or the Cardinals for that matter. I am just glad they finished the season with a winning record.

Why would a Californian pull for teams out of Wisconsin (Milwaukee and Green Bay)? Maybe that is where you were born and raised.

You win the grand prize! Grew up in Racine, just south of Milwaukee.

I will be joining all good Americans in cheering America's Team, THE CINCINNATI REDS to another World Series title.:yes

Didn't they do that last year, too? Seemed to work out pretty good for them, then. Not counting them out, yet. Yesterday could've been the start of a streak.

I had forgotten, but, yes, the Cardinals were 90-72 and edged the Braves out by one game for the wild card. Pujols came back early from a broken wrist to help the effort.

I heard the Cardinals were behind yesterday, 6-0, in the fifth and final game of their playoff series, and assumed they lost. I got up this morning and saw in the newspaper they had won. Go, St. Louis!

Looks like we have the last 3 WS winners in there, so I'm gonna kinda pull for the Tigers just to see someone new win :)

That reminds me - the Tigers had a triple crown winner this year, if I am not mistaken. I consider that noteworthy.

The Yankees have their work cut out, now that Jeter is out.

Go, St. Louis!
