Where is Eden located.

Isn't the Garden of Eden located on earth? Where is it? I know those Angels won't let us in.

Question 2
Since no one is using Eden....why is it empty? Is it the New Heaven?

It was no doubt obliterated by the Flood; and then too the earth's topography has been re-arranged and re-formed by centuries of earthquakes, volcanism, and tectonic plate subduction, so that the world as Adam knew it is no more; and areas that were once pluvial are now vast deserts.

Eden is a physical location on earth somewhere around in Iraq region. New heaven on the other hand is the church or the bride of Christ.

Gen. 3
[22] And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
[23] Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[24] So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

'i' find this Tree of life in Rev. to once again give conditional immortality to the saved only. (no hell criters!:study)

And God has stated its protection as seen above. (The Garden of God) So 'i' think that They took it all back to heaven for safe keeping before the flood came. And that is my thinking!;)

Yet, it is a FACT that no man could have Eternal Life without THe Tree Of Life, either in the new earth or BURNING UP in hell. (unless satan is believed:sad)

I would have to guess it is still here on Earth, but nestled in a different dimension than what we currently live in. We know there will be a restoration of ALL things & we can see a glimpse of what it was & what it will be like in Revelation 21. However, a much more detailed description of the New City & New Temple is given in Ezekiel chapters 40-48. IMHO Eden was/will be the Land of Israel, the Garden in Eden was/will be Jerusalem, and where God came down to meet with Adam was/will be the Temple.

Here's an interesting thought to ponder..... we see the Tree of Life will be in the New Jerusalem, but where is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? Since a restoration involves bringing back to it's original condition, I submit that God did not plant that tree, but Satan did.

Something else to consider: Adam was placed in the garden to do 2 things: to gaurd & to work. Putting Rev, Ezek, & Lev together, I believe Adam was the very 1st High Priest. From the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matt 13:25 it can be said that Adam fell asleep while on duty. While he slept, Satan came to Eve while she was alone & deceived her.

This sounds a little confusing and surprising. Is it sieged?

Hope the Angels didn't forsake it.

I would say Eden is/was a perfect place. Is God wasteful? I doubt God would destroy such a perfect place. He asked His Angels to guard the place.

Angels would not give up their duty to protect it. Simple...Eden is in australia...why else would it be an place I want to visit. The angels even give em a accent!

I am just kidding, but yes that post is confusing.

They took it back to Heaven? Who?:lol

Who is God reserving it for, one could ask?....(OP)

What do you gain each time you make me guffaw idiotically? :toofunny

If we know where the Rivers mentioned in Eden are we may be able to locate Eden.

Genesis 2:10-14 locates the garden with reference to four rivers (Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, Euphrates), and three regions (Havilah, Assyria, and Kush).[2] There are hypotheses that place Eden at the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates (northern Mesopotamia), in Iraq (Mesopotamia), Africa, and the Persian Gulf.

Like Webers_Home said I too agree it was probably also destroyed by the flood.

The Edenic river system used to connect with Ethiopia (Gen 2:13). The fact that no water associated with the Tigris and Euphrates today ends up in Ethiopia is proof enough to me that the earth's topography has undergone some pretty significant changes since Adam's day.

One thing I don't understand is why God would want to destroy such a perfect place:shrug
Why did HE keep Guards?

Perhaps Eden is water-resistant, or, the flood wasn't universal - it was!

Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

IMO.. i have taken this to mean a BIG shifting of the plates not a little earthquake but a God sized quake.

it is a FACT that no man could have Eternal Life without THe Tree Of Life,
It's possible to obtain eternal life without nourishing one's self from the tree of life. Note the grammatical tense of the "have" verb in the passages below. It's present tense rather than future, indicating that believers all have eternal life right now— no delay and no waiting period.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
†. John 3:36 . . He who believes in the Son has eternal life

†. John 6:47 . .Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

†. John 5:24 . . I assure you, those who heed my message, and trust in God who sent me, have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from Death into Life.

The believers to whom John penned his first epistle were in possession of eternal life even before his letter arrived.

†. 1John 5:13 . . I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

In point of fact: according to God's testimony as an expert witness in all matters pertaining to His own son; people passing themselves off as Christ's followers, while not possessing eternal life, are quite without His son; viz: they are 100% christless Christians.

†. 1John 5:9-12 . .We accept human testimony; but God's testimony carries more weight because it's the testimony of God, which He has given about His son . . . And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His son. He who has The Son has this life; he who does not have this life, does not have God's son.

To be without God's son is very serious. It means they are not one of his sheep.

†. Rom 8:9 . . If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

If God really destroyed Eden then I would say Eden wasn't the primary place of abode for man. And, assuming man hadn't sinned, how would such a small place, Eden, (assuming twas somewhere in Iraq Region) have contained the horrifying number of people in the world today?

This seems to suggest Eden wasn't located in Iraq region or anywhere else in the world. Maybe Eden was/is somewere in this 'Earth'. (Earth and world)

My thought!
