Strengthening families through biblical principles.
Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

There's no way of knowing. We can only look at her death as a reflection of our own, and ask ourselves if we're ready to meet the Lord.
The ancient monastic Christians would often say to always remember your death, and you will never sin.

A really good friend of mine passed away in 2007, and since then, there hasn't a week gone by that I don't wonder what he's doing now.

Some insist nobody goes to a heaven; and others insist nobody goes to a hell. Everyone has to be their own jury in these matters since both sides of the heaven and hell question are able to prove conclusively that theirs is correct. In other words: matters of hell and heaven fall into the "a Dingo ate my baby" category where some are convinced wild dogs killed the child, while others aren't so sure the mother didn't do it.

It has always been somewhat of a curiosity to me how proponents of diametrically opposed religious ideologies so confidently attest that their own doctrine is the one that's "according to the Bible" and they usually are too because with a little imagination, it's not all that difficult to construe, allegorize, parable-ize, spiritualize, and/or metaphor-ize the Bible to make it mean whatever somebody wants it to mean. I've even seen people utilize Paul's teachings in the epistles to refute his master's teachings in the four gospels!

Over the past weekend I am SURE I read a post where you gave someone a hard time for discounting a verse in the Bible. Two days later, you do the very same thing.Luke 23
There is no doubt that the thief in heaven verse is flawed,[/B] for Christ did not even accend to heaven at His death! And mankind added all of the punctuation marks, comma's + chapter numbers & the like, which were NOT Inspired!
I removed the above comma in Luke 23:43 & placed it where it agrees with this rendering of Christ's [[WORD]] to Mary in verse 17.
As I was saying...So one can be sure that Whitney Houston is not in heaven!
--Elijah
Houston's body was transferred from the Los Angeles County morgue into the care of Houston's family and transported to the Van Nuys airfield, where it was scheduled to depart on a private XO Jet bound for New Jersey.
Though early speculation centered around Houston's funeral taking place in the Atlanta-area church at which Whitney was active over the years, E! News has learned that the 48-year-old's remains are headed to the Whigham Funeral Home in New Jersey.

It's a question which no man can answer. Can we judge her destination by her life? Maybe? No one was with her (probably) when she gave up the ghost. A lot could have happened before she died. It doesn't take 20 yrs to say 'God, I'm sorry - forgive my sins and accept me'. It takes a broken and contrite heart...a repentant heart... to make heaven, it could take just a moment - a second.
I want to see her in heaven.
legalists, sheesh try to actually read up on mercy and grace. god isnt obliged to save anyone at all.
in the day of the Lord's walk it was the pharisees who were considered righteous and yet what did the Lord say about them? white washed sepulchers. so if houston was a gospel singer and died you all and myself would saying with such surety that shes in heaven when she may not have ever came to christ.
