Thanks JLB, but I still have trouble accepting that proposition as well. You see, Adam was created a LIVING soul. Why did he need a source for life if he was created a living being?
The commandment, you shall not eat of the tree... was a source of life, if obeyed.
A living being is dependent upon another to sustain it's life.
A life giving Spirit, on the other hand is a source of live to sustain others.
And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45
so also it hath been written, `The first man Adam became a living creature,' the last Adam [is] for a life-giving spirit, 1 Corinthians 15:45 YLT
