Who is a Jew or the nation Israel?

Hi CherubRam

Yeah, I get all that. I don't think you understood the intent and meaning of my post. I was merely explaining that both the muslim community and the Jewish/christian community came forth from Abraham and they were both blessed with the same blessings as far as growing into large nations of people,...BY GOD. It's written in the Scriptures. I can look it up for you if you'd like.

You can save all of your teaching on salvation comes only through Jesus for those who haven't believed that.

God bless,
Ted
The bible speaks literally and parabolically.

Hi CherubRam

I honestly don't see the connection between that statement and the issue that we're speaking of here. What exactly are you saying is parabolic and what is literal in the pieces of the Scriptures that are in question on this issue? Of course, I do realize that throughout the thousand or so pages that we today know as the Scriptures, that there are examples of such literary intent, but this is a particular subject of the Scriptures that I am speaking of here. I would honestly appreciate your giving me some understanding of why you gave that response.

I mean, we are still talking about the muslim/Jewish/christian heritage, right?

God bless,
Ted

We are not speaking of Arab and Jewish heritage. The bottom line is this, the seed of Abraham are those of the faith.

Romans 4:16
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

Galatians 3:7
Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.
