Colossians 1:12-17 is what I think of pertaining to both God the Father AND JESUS as creator/sustainer.
Just the way that starts out is a perfect verse for Thanksgiving.

I don't know if I fully understand it either lol,The only thing that I really don't understand is that how can He be Brother and Father at the same time?
Thanksgiving!!
One holiday that should be free from the DEMONIZING that accompany a Halloween and Christmas!!
But, oh, well, having said that I now await threads on the pagan origins of Thanksgiving - sympathy for cruelly-slaughtered Turkeys, and whatever.
I don't know if I fully understand it either lol,
So if it makes it easier, God the Father is my Father and God the son is my Brother.
They are my best friend!
Mark 3:35
If I do the will of God, I can be His SISTER AND MOTHER!!
He cooked the locust in ghee before eating them. It's considered a delicacy. A cultural dish from the ancient Near East. I've never had it. I just happen to know of it.I LIKE the Hannah Hurnard books, except for the late turn against meat-eating - HINDS FEET, Mountain of Spices, Hearing Heart - good stuff.
Even John the Baptist killed animals for his clothes, leather belt and camel-skin tunic ? And slaughtered all those locusts, shame on him!
I heard there were various species of locusts, some kosher, some not.
One TV show had John the Baptist going through a basket of locusts, eating some and tossing away others.
God is my creator, I am His creation. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the One who feeds, clothes and shelters me. He has my life in His hands. He is my covenant Father. Jesus is my savior. My Good Shepherd who leads in paths of righteousness and keeps watch over me. I am sheep of His flock. In as little words as possible, when you think of God, who is He to you?
In the same way, who is Jesus to you?
He fills all voids, if we let Him.The only thing that I really don't understand is that how can He be Brother and Father at the same time?
He fills all voids, if we let Him.
How can God be a male when God is spirit. The science does not add up. It's only the material makeup that makes someone either male or female as they are being created.
Jesus was a man in the flesh on earth but God is Spirit.
I think the words He in scripture referring to God is about Jesus in the flesh.
The Father is a Spirit, God does not have manly bits or a man's DNA and testosterone.
Just my opinion. I just cannot see how God can be something that is material made.
God is not an image but we are brianwahsed to make him into an image. Made in our image.
We are made in God's image.
Yeah but we call Him father and either use the pronoun He or Him.
