Who is God?

The word Father in Hebrew pronoun can mean parent, master, chief, reverend.
He just means Chief Master.

הוֹרֶה
parent, father
אָב
father, master, parent, Av, chief, reverend

That would mean that by your logic my mother would also be my father.

Father: A man in relation to his children

(Look it up if you don't believe me.)

God is the Most High - El Elyon,
He is El Shaddai, Jehovah Rapha, and many other names

His consort is Wisdom, as in Proverbs 8 and elsewhere. The first descriptions of Trinity were Father, Logos and Wisdom.

He causes to be what He causes to be.

Ok, if God is a male then what makes "him" a male and different from a female?.

Because if He was female,..then why wasn't Jesus born a girl?

Because Jesus was born a male in the flesh. Jesus was a male but God is a Spirit. The spiritual being of Jesus was God and from God.

If the kingdom of God dwells within you and you are the temple of God according to both Jesus and Paul, does that make every female that believes in Jesus a dude?

One spirit, One Being, One Spirit that gives Life to all, One God, One People.

No of course not. Jesus is definitely a dude and He dwells within us. And there's a reason that Jesus was born a male,. because He isn't a female and was never supposed to be either.

Yes, Jesus was a dude in the flesh. His Spirit dwells within you.

He sent and breathed the Holy Spirit that dwells within you. The Holy Spirit within you is not a dude.

The Holy Spirit is God.

There is no proof in scripture that the Spirit of God, that is God, is a dude.

The Holy Spirit is God. Not a dude with two arms and three legs.

Son of man in the flesh. Son of God in Spirit.

In as little words as possible, when you think of God, who is He to you?

In the same way, who is Jesus to you?
Great question!

I know that Jesus is God....but when I see the word GOD, I think of a spirit that created everything and that does not have a body. I think of God Almighty. I think of The Father.

When I see the word Jesus, I think of a human being. I understand that He is part of the Father but that is not what comes to mind.
I think of the person of Jesus of Nazareth and the life He lived here on earth and that He died for those that are willing to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

This Jesus, is the One I met many years ago when He revealed Himself to me.

I have thought about this answer...it took me a while.

I know the theological thoughts...so many of them. But that wasn't what Jeff was asking.
It was about who God is to me.

And so...
God is the One who taught me what loving kindness is really all about.
He taught me about patience.
He taught me forgiveness and how to extend it.
He taught me more about love than I can ever explain.
He told and showed me why the things I did wrong were wrong.
He has taught me how to correctly discipline.
He has also taught me about respect... especially when speaking. (Scared the devil right out of me on that one)
And He has taught me about extending grace...by giving it when I never earned a bit of it.

I owe Him everything. I can't believe that He believed in me when I didn't believe in Him. He has done more for me than anyone ever has. At times I wish to show him how appreciative I am but my filthy hands aren't good enough. But I know that He has incredibly accepted the work personally and with Thanksgiving.

So...say whatever you want about God. But I know what He means to me and what/who he is to me. I only wish others could know him the way that I do.
