I don’t actually know where that is found in scripture...
“To be part of the "Church" you have to be born of the Spirit”
To be part of God’s Kingdom, we must be born of the Spirit.
Do you believe Abraham is a part of God’s Kingdom?
- The Spirit of Christ dwelled within Abraham, being in covenant with the Lord, and being a prophet, who obeyed the Lord.
Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace
that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time,
the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
1 Peter 1:10-11
Now therefore, restore the man’s wife;
for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore
her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who
are yours.
Genesis 20:7
This blessing of receiving and walking according to the Lord’s Spirit has been promised to those who are the faith of Abraham.
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:14
- Abraham demonstrated for us, the blessing of a person who walks with God in His presence; who walks according to His Spirit.
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I
am Almighty God;
walk before Me and be blameless. 2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Genesis 17:1-2
- We who are “in Christ” are grafted into this same covenant that has been “renewed” or “refreshed” and is now called the New Covenant, in which we are called children of Abraham.
Therefore know that
only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. Galatians 3:7
again
You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Acts 3:27
again
13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, 14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy
those who are my flesh and save some of them. 15 For if their being cast away
is the reconciling of the world, what
will their acceptance
be but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit
is holy, the lump
is also
holy; and if the root
is holy, so
are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast,
remember that you do not support the root, but the root
supports you.
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well
said.Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness,[
f] if you continue in
His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who
are natural
branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? Romans 11:13-24
- And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,
The Covenant that the Lord Jesus made with Abraham, is the root, the foundational covenant to which the law was added until the Seed should come, and became the New “renewed” Covenant, when the Lord became flesh, and shed His blood.
