Why are my Christian neighbours not Christian?

I still do not understand. Can you provide an example of a sin that does not lead to death.
I think here you'll have to give me a example.

1 John 5:16

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

1 John 5:17
All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

This is going too far off topic and you are evading my questions by introducing another. We ran into these verses recently at one of our devotional prayer breakfasts but were unable to come to a conclusion. Of course, the next question that comes up is Romans 6:23. But, it would be interesting to explore the meaning of 1 John 5. I think it would be best to start another thread to discuss it. Maybe a good Bible study question?

Well there probably is a sin that does not lead to death, but I wasn't talking about that anyway. But I'm in the process of learning about it because it was on my mind about a week ago.

Then maybe we can both benefit. I started a discussion in the Bible Study forum about this, here.
