On this forum. And right now as well.
I'm a Christian in the twilight zone .
In between the RCC version of Christianity and the more individualistic version of Christianity that sola scriptura types offer.
I'm here because I think Christianity is the best option. That Jesus' kingdom is based on kindness not earthly might.
I'm here because I have time.
And I like to process my thinking through self expression.
I'm here because I'm still searching. Maybe I'm hoping to meet God through some of you. Don't you feel the same?
I'm here for myself of course. Attention and validation keep us alive. But occasionally I can be useful to you and others on here. Occasionally I can be quite loving. Occasionally God will choose to work through me, usually without me knowing. So I will take interest occasionally, in what you have to say. But it usually won't be Bible intensive verse quoting posts. That's not my forte.

Why am I a Christian? Because it is true. As Paul put it in 1cor 15:14 if Christ is not raised we are still in our sins!
True spiritually, true factually, true historically.
Only Christianity says you do nothing just receive the gift of salvation all other religions make the worshipper earn there salvation.

Why am I on this forum, I like to argue and sometimes I can offer help or advice that is practical, relevent was well as having an element of spirituality.

I'm here because I enjoy having fellowship with other believers. When I first started coming here, I didn't have a church to go to. It helped to be able to grow in the word and talk with others. Even while going to church now, I still enjoy chatting with others on the forums.

Also, it's hard for me to make new friends so it's always a plus to make a few new friends here, too.

Do you read the Bible for your self? What do you read? TCC have pretty much the same Bible as Christians do as far as I know.
I think that our belief should have some effect in our lives.
For me. When I started to read the Bible at the age of 19.
After reading a little while I saw many changes in my life in many ways.
For example I automatically stopped using swearwords.
I found a inner peace I never had before. I felt stronger, happier, smarter. Life had purpose. And other things happened to me without me trying to doing anything but reading and getting the Word in me.
Every single experience was really helping me.
Gods Word is alive and working.
I have never got that anywhere else.
Shalom

You should do a tv commercial for the Bible.

I don't find all parts of the Bible helpful or motivating. I like Gospel of John and Matt. And some letters from Paul. Plus Hosea and exodus.
Well it's something. Matt is great in my opinion. Everything by Paul too.
I believe that the Bible. Especially the New testament is written to help us in this life. I think that it has answers to every situation or questions that we need.
But that is my opinion. It has helped me more than anything or anyone has.
That is honestly my experience.

A man once studied many religions and he became a christian
He was asked why he chose christianity
His reply was that all other religions expected you to change before they accepted you, and christianity was the only one that taught God accepts you as you are a and then changes you.

I'm here because I believe God brought me here as it's the best Christian forum I have ever found and I'm a staying. I'm here to teach, to learn and to have fellowship with other believers in Christ as this place and you people are my Church as we are one body in Christ.

Love, love all of you.

Oh and the Book of Job. Why good men suffer. One of the best books in the Bible.

Yes. One of the first books I read. A strong story that.
Many can relate to him I think.
Job is considered to be the oldest written book of the Bible. #funfact

Amen! I found this site by chance. Or maybe God led me.
My Bible school has been closed and my church also.
This is my only interaction with other believers.
I don't have many Christian friends. Or even any that I can talk and share the good news with.
So I really wanted to say thanks to the people running this forum.
It has been a great place to speak out what has been shut up on the inside.
Share, learn, and hopefully sometimes help eachother.
Getting to know some of you and to see that everyone has their unique qualities and strong sides.
Even interesting to see our weaknesses to.
Everything helps to learn and grow up as true believers.
Like Salomon said:

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].
Proverbs 27:17 AMP

A church building, is not the church. The believing Christians is the church.
The body of Christ.
Built up by every true Christian.

This is why Christianity is NOT a religion. The church is a family. A relationship between believers and God who is father God. All through King Jesus who broke the separation that was before. And restored the fellowship between God and man.
Nothing but good news ?
