  • Focus on the Family

    Strengthening families through biblical principles.

Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

WHY DID CHRIST SEND HIS DISCIPLES OUT WITH THE GOOD NEWS?

Only the unrepentant will be denied something we can ask God for.
At the moment of conversion/salvation God gives everything that servant is to have in the Body of Christ.
I disagree.
Cornelius is the prime, post-Pentecost example.
Repentance is a part of conversion/salvation.
I disagree.
Repentance from sin is the first step to conversion. (Acts 2:38)
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? Rom. 8:29–31.
Calling is the first step.
He calls, we come. Without fail.
That is true, but He won't give any gift to the servants of sin.
All true believers have been set free from the bondage of sin.
Free indeed.

Since we born again believers are priests we are the low priests. Christ is the High Priest.
There it is there.
Nice try
No the ministerial priesthood of Jesus is according to the order of melchisedec not the royal priesthood of believers

Christ is the Head of the apostles.
Christ is the head of the church and the apostles true, but he ascended to heaven and does not remain here on earth governing his own kingdom, no king does, he appointed Peter prime minister over the church and apostles

Many verses if you need them
Here’s one
Acts 15:8 God made choice among the apostles.
He chose Peter!
Thanks

That’s not what I said.
You said the royal priesthood of believers are the low priests

But that is a different order
Christ and the apostles are of the order of melchisedec not the royal priesthood
Thanks

At the moment of conversion/salvation God gives everything that servant is to have in the Body of Christ.
Though conversion and salvation are different things and occurred and will occur at different times,
we do get all we need at our rebirth from God's seed.
Thankfully though, we get more as our knowledge and grace grow, as do the things raised against us.
Repentance is a part of conversion/salvation
Indeed, our first step.

He calls, we come. Without fail.
He calls, we answer with repentance from sin.
All true believers have been set free from the bondage of sin.
Free indeed.
That's for sure.
How long have you been a non-sinner?

I don't believe that for a second.
God has provided pastor and prophets for the administration of His church. (Eph 4:11)

He is not on earth but at the right hand of the power of God.
His Spirit is here in His stead.
The true Vicar of Christ.

What about being born again?

The spirit of truth is a gift to the church and leads the church into all truth and morals but men govern

God is Sovereign.
He rules EVERYTHING.
From a snowflake on your windshield, to a flower petal falling to the ground, to a sparrow being fed to a comet's orbit and the exploding of a star.
Everything.

On Scripture and the voice of God.
And the voice of God will always cite Scripture.
That's how we know His voice.
By knowing His Word.
How could they Teach then? How did they know what to write? No scripture for decades?

What about being born again?
That occurs during the second step...baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins. (Acts 2:38)
When we are "immersed" into Christ and into His death and burial, we are then raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:3-7)
