Why do pigs roll in the mud? Isn't mud dirty?

Pigs dont have sweat glands from what I know,,,,or if they do have them there not active,,,,,which would make for some pretty hot pigs......Rolling around in mud would keep them cool and would provide sunblock and insect repelent......I think I wil continue to just by mine from walmart....

i prefer the pig to homegrown then slaughtered, try the bacon from a good slaughter house and you'll see, i miss the bacon with the brine.

There's wild pigs here, all over Texas and pretty much everywhere anywhere. A farmers nuisance and destroyer of land. Shoot em' if you see em'. :-)

Who said anything about wasting the meat?

Donate it or eat it yourself. :-)
