Why does Satan get the blame for the crucifixion?

Getting back to 'Why does Satan get the blame for the crucifixion?'

The poster advises that Christians blame Satan for Jesus' death right?
Well in answer to that statement I would like to point out that if Christians think in this context then they have not understood the true concept of what Jesus accomplished at calvary. The fact that Satan entered into Judas to get him to betray Jesus is critical to understand correctly, as Jesus knew that Judas would give in to Satan's influence and even mentioned it at the Last Supper where He told Judas to go and do what he has to do.
To involve Satan in His own phenomenal act of love was undeniably a sign of the divine power that God has over the darkness that surrounds the world. As the Father's wrath was unleashed on His own son, Satan thought he would soon become God, but, when Jesus gave up His life, and His spirit descended into hell and was then resurrected into eternal life, Satan was crushed!
Praise the Lord!
:clap

Does it bother you (anyone who wants to answer) that Satan and God have this relationship? God needing Satan to perform a service to "get people to sin" in order to "find those who really want to love him, for real"?

I am going to ask a question in answer....why do you believe God NEEDS Satan?

If we are to assume that all that was written is true (for argument sake), . . . there is no need for Satan. In fact, who was SATAN'S tempter? Ever wondered that? What would cause an angel, who is in the presence of "awe, greatness, and perfection", . . . yet believe that he would be able to rise above God? And while I said that, where does it say that he [Satan] wanted to take God's place? It says that he wanted to be "LIKE the most high". Aren't we ALL supposed to be LIKE God/Jesus? But I digress. And to answer your question, in light of my question, . . . it would seem that Satan DOES fulfill a service, being the "accuser in the court of God", with Jesus as the "defence". We are expected to believe that "demons (fallen angels) are roaming the earth tempting people, enticing them with sin", . . . is this really true? And if it is true, and it causes people to eventually end up in Hell, . . . is it "loving" for God to have allowed it from the beginning?

If you had children, and placed a loaded gun, cocked and ready to fire, on your coffee table for your curious children to easily pick up, . . . would you be completely negligent? Of course you would. You COULD use the excuse that "just because you place the gun there doesn't give my children the right to play with it, so it is their fault if they do. AND they could, just as easily leave it alone, or unload it, or. .etc). Fact is, . . . it is STILL negligent and immoral. Same thing as what is said to have taken place in the spiritual realm, according to christianity.

God a tempter...that is something I have not heard. God is by far no master of sin, no tempter, and no deceiver. Pride is what took hold of Lucifer. Satan too in accordance to scripture was God's most beloved angel. I do not believe angels were denied choice....or made without a will of their own. For Lucifer alone did not fall from Heaven, but those that followed in his footsteps as well. Could we not say that like a number of us here on earth that being given a position of power...that perhaps Satan sought to set his sights higher upon finding himself truly enjoying what power and honor he had? Does this necessarily make God a tempter? No.

I do have a son. Fortunately who does not grow up in a house bearing a gun. But if I were to leave such a dangerous tool out in the open, and he fire it. I would pray should he survive, that CYFD were called and that his best interests taken care of. Though in part too, it would be the child's fault if indeed he/she were taught well enough not to touch the weapon and that it was not a toy. However, seeing as if I as a parent had left the weapon out...it would be more so me to blame. For it would have been my negligence that resulted in it in the first place. Unlike God however, I am NOT perfect, nor all seeing, or all knowing. God is perfect. I know not why you see him or could see him as a tempter or an indirect encourager of sin. For that is not God at all...God is love.

I wasn't saying that God was the tempter, . . . however, there has to have been something tempting Satan before wishing to fall into that temptation. What was it that caused this? Was it an emergent property of God's design? If angels were there to serve God, why even GIVE them "free will"? I thought that's what WE were created for? The whole thing makes little sense, if you look at it logically. Angels, in the presence of a being [God] who is supposed to be magnificent, . . .yet a THIRD of them think Satan to be moreso??? :confused

Yes, you would be negligent. God would be negligent to allow the same danger. It was not a "perfect creation". It all comes back to some rule that God created, allowing sin, making his creation feel bad for it, needing the "stain washed away", instituted an IMPERFECT means to deal with it [animal sacrifices], then "fixed it all" by coming himself to sacrifice himself to appease himself for the rule he made. :confused All because he allowed that "loaded gun on the coffee table" to begin with. :shrug

Hahaha! I can see where you are coming from, honestly, and I'm sure God allows us to wonder why this and why that. But, it should not consume your spirituality and obscure your chance for salvation.
God is a mystery and it is meant to be that way and we must have faith in His plan because He is awesome and undeniably more intelligent. And, we are either with Him or against Him.
Satan is against Him, are you?

How do we REALLY know that "Satan is against God"? It seems that he has converstations with God.

As for me, . . . there are several things that I am against, within the Bible, but since I don't agree with an "inerrant/infallible bible", then I don't worry about what that MIGHT mean.

Because "Satan" literally means "adversary".

Was he "Lucifer" before the name change? . . . And is the title of "adversary" for US, rather that God, specifically?

Many believe he was Lucifer prior to being called Satan. The title of adversary is probably more for us but if he is against us, he is against God.

I want to make sure I am understanding you correctly before I go into a response here...but are you implying that God is not perfect here? I just want to make sure there is no misunderstanding.

I don't believe in the Genesis Creation account, . . . but for the sake of argument, I don't see it as a "perfect creation". I have no idea whether or not the being christians label as "God" is perfect. There are places in the text which seem to question it, though.
