Why don't Christian women cover their hair?

I have seen these in,Arabic countries and also photos of jewish women ,while less common chassiduc jews do carry this idea.

You,do understand why they do cover their heads,its to shoe submissiom an women who didn't,was a prostitute or also in rebellion .

Hair isn't and wasn't considered to be the covering .Paul wouldnt suggest covering the head if you had hair .

Let's suppose the hair is a covering as you suggest. Now, let's look at Paul's argument.

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.
5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.
6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. (1 Cor. 11:4-7 NKJ)

He says if a woman is not covered let her be shorn. If the hair is the cover and the woman is not covered then she is bald. If she is already bald why would Paul say let her be shorn. That wouldn't make sense. How do you shave someone who is already bald?

Likewise with the man. A man is to be uncovered. If the hair was the covering then all Christian men would have to be bald. In addition this is called for when one is praying or prophesying. Does a woman take her hair off when she isn't praying or prophesying? What about the man, does he remove his hair when praying or prophesying and then put it back on when he is finished? You see, Paul's argument makes no sense if we say the hair is the covering.

We also know from church history that the hair isn't the covering. Around 200 Ad, there was a question that arose in the church. Who should be covered? Was is just married women or were virgins to be covered too. A Christian leader named Tertullian wrote on this and described how women all over the region from North Africa to Gaul were wearing different types of coverings. Then to answer the question, do virgins need to be veiled also, Turtellian's conclusion was to look to the Church in Corinth. The church that Paul wrote the letter to. The Church at Corinth veiled their virgins. So, the Church to which the letter was written understood that Paul was telling them to veil all of their women. It wasn't their hair. They wore a covering.

I am going to go by the scripture I posted. It literally says the hair is "her" covering. I don't care what they did back before Paul stating this very fact.
 
Paul says the woman should be covered because of the angels. He leads off by giving the created order.

But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. (1 Cor. 11:3 NKJ)

So, he lays out the order of authority. God is at the top, then Christ, then man, then woman. To show this authority Paul says the woman should be covered. This shows she is acknowledging her position in this order. Then he says she should be covered because of the angels.

8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man.
9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.
10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. (1 Cor. 11:8-10 NKJ)

Why because of the angels? It's because God is using the church to make known His manifold wisdom to the angelic realm.

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 and to make all see what is the fellowship1 of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ2;
10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, (Eph. 3:8-11 NKJ)

God is using the church to make His wisdom known to principalities and powers in heavenly places. This is why Paul says the woman should be covered and show the authority that is over her. Remember, when Satan sinned a third of the angels joined him and left their ranks, their positions. They rejected the authority over them. The head covering is for women to show that they accept their rank or position, the authority over them.

For if it's a shame to cover her head..

Do you think paul suggests women to grow hair ?
If its. Shame to cover their head ,why would he simply say were a veil?when its as east to grow hair ?

Look,Islam borrows from,Judaism ,

Even the greeating one doesn't say hello to a Muslim ,its sallam,allechum.
In,Judaism is Shalom allechum.

Makes sense to see why a hijab is similar to what chassiduc Jewish women wear .funny,thing,is I,never stated my view just pointing out that its not hair but the covering of the head ,a veil,

Ancient cultures in,that area all,had women married or under their dad with their head covered to show submission to a,man as a dad or as a husband
 
It helps to show or at least have understand the context ,first audience on this or any verse .

You're not. As I've pointed out, saying the hair is the covering makes Paul's argument nonsensical. His statement about the hair refers to what he said about nature.

13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her1 for a covering. (1 Cor. 11:13-15 NKJ)

Generally it's been that men have short hair and women long. This is what Paul is appealing to.

In the scripture I posted it also says "it is for her glory?" My literal hair is more glorious than a flopped on material veil. Meaning, my authority over me...........(God) is BEAUTIFUL.

When Paul says a woman should cover her head he uses Katakalupto. It's a verb, it means to cover. If the hair is the cover, why would Paul tell the women to put on their hair? It's a verb he's telling them to put it on. Do woman take their hair off and put if on?

Cover your head, meaning........if you don't have hair.........put a covering on.
