Flat Earth is really something to consider. You couldd ask a airline pilot they fly around the world so would know the data, im sure an airplane doesn't fly straight and flat it adjusts to a earth globe.
Wow.

Flat Earth is really something to consider. You couldd ask a airline pilot they fly around the world so would know the data, im sure an airplane doesn't fly straight and flat it adjusts to a earth globe.
And, yet, there is not only no reason to not believe the earth is round, there is every reason to believe it is. The only way to believe it's flat is to presume that to begin with and it becomes a case of begging the question.I think the most worldly-inclined of us do a lot of assuming when it comes to embracing all that science declares to be true.
Believing what the Bible teaches about Creation could be said to make one look anti-science and anti-intellectual for the sheer reason that those who believe otherwise feel those people aren't using their intellect when they embrace the Bible's teachings. Yet the Bible actually teaches us to put our faith in God's teachings and to shun the teachings of the world.
It's a difference of opinion just like so many differing Biblical doctrines.
No, not necessarily as you know that all of us begin with believing the Earth is round because that is what we are taught from the beginning. And, yet, there is not only no reason to not believe the earth is round, there is every reason to believe it is. The only way to believe it's flat is to presume that to begin with and it becomes a case of begging the question.
I have yet to see any rational argument for the earth being flat. No, not necessarily as you know that all of us begin with believing the Earth is round because that is what we are taught from the beginning.
Then, when one begins to look into the Flat Earth arguments, to use their intellect to look at both sides fairly, they can come away impressed with certain concepts within the debate.
There it is. Those who believe in a flat earth tend to believe in conspiracies. In no way is it a "major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years." It's not a threat at all.I, for one, have looked into it for years now and am very impressed with certain aspects of the argument for Flat Earth. It actually does align with much of Scripture and it also better explains many of the visible phenomena we can witness for ourselves in the night sky.
It's not the idiot-badge that it is so made out to be at all. It is just a major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years so those who control the media have a vested interest in silencing it and mocking and ridiculing any and all who even consider it.
It's not accepted by mainstream because it shouldn't be.In fact, it is just another way of looking at the world that is not accepted by the mainstream.
No, it isn't evil, it's just poor reasoning from what I've seen. Part of which is that it doesn't seem flat earthers have actually thought through the implications of their belief that there is a conspiracy to hide the "fact" that the earth is flat. That alone makes the idea of a flat earth so unlikely that there is simply no reason to believe it to be the case.It is inherently innocent, not evil - as it is made out to be.
If that's true, you haven't even looked into it.I have yet to see any rational argument for the earth being flat.
Who said I believe in Conspiracies? There it is. Those who believe in a flat earth tend to believe in conspiracies. In no way is it a "major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years." It's not a threat at all.
Well, it's a given. No, it isn't evil, it's just poor reasoning from what I've seen. Part of which is that it doesn't seem flat earthers have actually thought through the implications of their belief that there is a conspiracy to hide the "fact" that the earth is flat.
No, the two are not connected in any way. That alone makes the idea of a flat earth so unlikely that there is simply no reason to believe it to be the case.
Not that much, no, but it has been debated here in the past and every argument in favor I found to be wanting. It really isn't worth my time as it is false. If that's true, you haven't even looked into it.
"It is just a major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years so those who control the media have a vested interest in silencing it and mocking and ridiculing any and all who even consider it."Who said I believe in Conspiracies?
Of course not. Some are plausible, some are not. That science is hiding the fact the earth is actually flat is simply not plausible. Are you claiming Conspiracies have never existed?
That's fine. I've been very unimpressed by the ones that I've seen.I said I looked into Flat Earth and was impressed with some of the arguments.
The two certainly are connected. In thinking through the implications of this supposed conspiracy on the part of science, it becomes clear and perfectly reasonable that there simply cannot be a conspiracy.Well, it's a given.
If the Earth is Flat, there is a Conspiracy to hide that fact.
There's no arguing that.
No, the two are not connected in any way.
It's perfectly reasonable logic that IF the Earth is Flat, that fact has then been covered up for many centuries. There's no debating that.
Correct. Not that much, no, but it has been debated here in the past and every argument in favor I found to be wanting. It really isn't worth my time as it is false.
"It is just a major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years so those who control the media have a vested interest in silencing it and mocking and ridiculing any and all who even consider it."
That is a conspiracy.
You did say you haven't looked into it very much so .... your level of understanding of the arguments FOR Flat Earth are not very credible and thus your opinion of its plausibility is a very uneducated one. That science is hiding the fact the earth is actually flat is simply not plausible.
Thanks for proving my point. Not sure why you seem to like to make people jump through your hoops for no reason.Correct.
It is a Conspiracy.
You don't seem to be understanding what I am saying. To be able to think through the logical implications of a conspiracy theory and see that it is so unlikely that it is impossible, has nothing to do with any actual arguments in favor of a flat earth. The absurdities that would be required for the conspiracy to be true immediately put the conspiracy outside the realm of reality. One need not even know the supposed "evidence" for a flat earth. You did say you haven't looked into it very much so .... your level of understanding of the arguments FOR Flat Earth are not very credible and thus your opinion of its plausibility is a very uneducated one.
You actually proved my point. Thanks for proving my point. Not sure why you seem to like to make people jump through your hoops for no reason.
Einstein said that it is the epitome of ignorance to dismiss an idea without studying it out first. You don't seem to be understanding what I am saying. Whatever. You actually proved my point.
Apparently you don't realize the definition of Conspiracy.
In my previous discussion here, I asked for the best, and if that really was the best that was put forward, it's not worth looking at the rest. If you think there are solid arguments, go ahead and post them.Einstein said that it is the epitome of ignorance to dismiss an idea without studying it out first.
Where did you find a ball huge enough to place a ruler on it?
So the ball was round and flat at the same time?
That's a HUGE ball.I put a ruler on the ground outside. The ruler was flat with no curve yet the earth is much bigger and round. The ball of the earth is so big compaired to the ruler if I place the ruler on the ground it's not going to curve and it looks like the earth is flat.
No, we don't actually. We have pictures of the earth taken from space. That kind of evidence is hard to deny.
No, we don't actually.
NASA admits they're all photoshopped.
Every single one of them is wildly different in proportions, etc.
We have zero photos of earth from space.
What you're seeing is 100% CGI.
Perfectly natural.
Oh, I believe in science. I just see no compelling reason why every government on earth would lie about the shape of the planet. Plus, the moon is round. We can all see it.Perfectly natural.
Every single person who believes in Flat Earth today began as a doubter.
You can't learn anything if you don't start out by not knowing it.
Those who believe they already know all there is to know don't have any ability to learn anything new.
That's why those with extensive college, and even pastors who went to seminaries, etc., are the hardest people to teach anything to. They already have a belief that they paid lots of money to be considered very intelligent among the layman and they aren't open to learning anything new. They are the scoffers and doubters and mockers of the world.
Turn around a month later and science has changed what it was certain of the month prior, the medical industry has changed what it was certain of the month prior, etc., etc.
Only those who are humble enough to admit they don't know it all are capable of learning something new and only the humble are embraced by the Holy Spirit with wisdom and understanding. Prideful people are shunned by True knowledge, wisdom and God.
That's totally beside the point. Whether the earth is flat or not is the first consideration for anybody who is sincerely looking into it. Then, after they have come to any amount of conclusion that it might be, that's when they begin to ponder why, or how, the governments of the world would, or wouldn't, handle it in this way or that.Oh, I believe in science. I just see no compelling reason why every government on earth would lie about the shape of the planet. Plus, the moon is round. We can all see it.
We see a circular moon, but we only ever see one side of it.Plus, the moon is round. We can all see it.
