I think the most worldly-inclined of us do a lot of assuming when it comes to embracing all that science declares to be true.

Believing what the Bible teaches about Creation could be said to make one look anti-science and anti-intellectual for the sheer reason that those who believe otherwise feel those people aren't using their intellect when they embrace the Bible's teachings. Yet the Bible actually teaches us to put our faith in God's teachings and to shun the teachings of the world.

It's a difference of opinion just like so many differing Biblical doctrines.

And, yet, there is not only no reason to not believe the earth is round, there is every reason to believe it is. The only way to believe it's flat is to presume that to begin with and it becomes a case of begging the question.

Then, when one begins to look into the Flat Earth arguments, to use their intellect to look at both sides fairly, they can come away impressed with certain concepts within the debate.

I, for one, have looked into it for years now and am very impressed with certain aspects of the argument for Flat Earth. It actually does align with much of Scripture and it also better explains many of the visible phenomena we can witness for ourselves in the night sky.

It's not the idiot-badge that it is so made out to be at all. It is just a major threat to all that science has taught for the last 500+ years so those who control the media have a vested interest in silencing it and mocking and ridiculing any and all who even consider it.

In fact, it is just another way of looking at the world that is not accepted by the mainstream. It is inherently innocent, not evil - as it is made out to be.

In my previous discussion here, I asked for the best, and if that really was the best that was put forward, it's not worth looking at the rest. If you think there are solid arguments, go ahead and post them.

Besides, I've studied the idea that there is a conspiracy to suppress the "truth" that the earth is flat. And, again, reasoning through that alone shows that there is no conspiracy. That means the earth isn't flat.

They already have a belief that they paid lots of money to be considered very intelligent among the layman and they aren't open to learning anything new. They are the scoffers and doubters and mockers of the world.

Turn around a month later and science has changed what it was certain of the month prior, the medical industry has changed what it was certain of the month prior, etc., etc.

Only those who are humble enough to admit they don't know it all are capable of learning something new and only the humble are embraced by the Holy Spirit with wisdom and understanding. Prideful people are shunned by True knowledge, wisdom and God.

That's totally beside the point. Whether the earth is flat or not is the first consideration for anybody who is sincerely looking into it. Then, after they have come to any amount of conclusion that it might be, that's when they begin to ponder why, or how, the governments of the world would, or wouldn't, handle it in this way or that.

We can't know their reasons for doing all that they do, but we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that they have a long history or lying to, and manipulating, their people for their benefit. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. It's not even far-fetched to assume they would lie to us about things that somehow benefit them to do so. It's a fact.

Looking into all of the proofs of Flat Earth for oneself is the first step. Looking at all the empirical experiments one can do on their own is the first consideration. Once you realize there is a level of Truth to these things, then your entire perspective changes and you will ponder all of the extenuating circumstances very differently.

We see a circular moon, but we only ever see one side of it.

Therefore, we are only seeing a 2-dimensional image in the sky.

That's not an opinion, that's a verifiable, observable, fact.

And it is also observable that it projects its own light. It does not reflect light from the sun. The light from the moon is verifiably different than the light from the sun.

As previously stated, this aligns with Biblical information about the moon giving off its own light.
