Why Jews do not believe in Christ

Jesus predicted the Jews would be blinded because of their unbelief in refusing to believe him and accept his ministry (matt.13:14-16).

So Jesus (who most Christians say is God) is predicting the blindness of the Jews in not accepting his ministry. Well, if God is predicting this will happen, then doesn't that make it the inevitable destiny of the Jewish people? And if it is inevitable and totally unavoidable (by divine decree) how is it that Christians blame the Jewish people for something decreed by Creator of the Universe?

If we blame you, we shouldn't. Which one of us can judge you? I cannot. For I have also disbelieved in Jesus, and when I called upon Him and beleived in Him, I was saved. But we want you to come to believe just as we do. How long has this debate been going on? Christ was crucified for the whole world, that it might be saved! For God delivered the Jews from the Egyptians, and the Philistines from somebody! This is what I know.

Notwithstanding that there is a significant consensus of Biblical scholars who maintain that the gospels were not written by any disciples but by persons unknown, that neither Paul of any of the other authors were eyewitnesses to Jesus' ministry or death, and that most likely the gospels represent a distillation of hundreds of "gospels" which were ultimately rejected at Nicea, if one ASSUMES the historic accuracy of say, the crucifixtion, then one is left to conclude that people may have seen Jesus die, but no one saw him die for anyone sins- that is simply Pauline contradiction of what is stated in the Tanakh.
