Forumer A: Jesus turned water into wine for the people.

Forumer B: Yes - He did. He also drank.

Forumer A: He didn't drink.

Forumer C: I totally agree with Forumer A. Jesus wouldn't drink at all.

Forumer B: That's totally insane. You guys are strange:bigfrown Why would He prepare wine for the people and wouldn't drink? Isn't that hypocrisy???:

Forumer D: Hope you guys didn't think it was alcohol!!! :dunno :shrug :confused

Forumer B: It was alcohol. Period.

Forumer E: How could you call Christ a hypocrite? You are a disgrace:shame

Forumer B: Please read again my original post:( I didn't say so, Forumer E. (He makes up his mind to add few members on his ignore list).

Forumer F: There was no wine at all. That was a parable.

The whole forumers attack Forumer F.

Forumer F: I'm out of here. This is not a Christian Site.:(

Moderator intervenes: Flashes TOS

Forumer B quotes bible verses about people who drank so earnestly.

Forumer G drops by to say: Actually Jesus also drank.

Forumer B: God bless you brother. Some have eyes but cannot see. I regret being here.

Moderator: Final warning. No personal attacks

Forumer H: Is President Obama willing to visit Gaza? I know he would.

Moderator delets Forumer H's post. Reason: OFF TOPIC.

Forumer H frowns and sends PMs

Forumer I: Whoever thinks the account of the wedding at Cannan was a parable...and whoever says Christ didn't drink is a loon.:bigfrown.

Forumer B: Thank you bro:):) I decided not to be a fool. I read not out of context 'cause I'm not dull.

Forumer Z: He drank wine and also danced.

All forumers attack Forumer Z.

Forumer Z: You people are a disgrace. You can't intimidate me.

Forumer B launches a parting missilie is gone. Never comes back here. (Probably visits as a guest - but never logs in).

Forumer X: Bunch of dweebs!

Moderator: Alright people. So far so bad. Time to rest your nerves untill we put things in order here: this thread need a lot of cleaning. Moderator review.

.

Thread probably never gets unlocked;). Dead threads :toofunny

I see the moral here to be the moderators should step in sooner and put a end to such right?

Yeah. And I suggest such threads should in fact be completely deleted

That's a good idea. I typically try to avoid threads like that, though I did say somethings in the thread on sickness but I saw it was going nowhere and backed out.

A harsh one can still restore peace. Some wouldn't hear unless you bark at them.

I left once a couple months ago, completely cancelled my membership. I didn't blame anyone else for it, I just needed to humble myself sometimes and other times be more patient and other times just not be a wimp...I tell myself "do not be offended, I don't have that right" I not perfect in my attitude and I can't expect others to be. We are all in the process of santification. :praying

Classik did you just make that up? That's pretty good. I wish this place would retain members better. I actually think boy I hope they stick around when some new members join. Usually I back out of stuff too. It's just doesn't make sense for me to defend an online persona. They don't know me and I don't know them. I don't get anything by being more right other than pride. No one is really hurting me by hurting my persona though that's not always easy to remember. It would be nice if we just talked more. We are a bunch of strangers just giving our opinions about stuff and even spiritual guidance. Maybe you can only hear yourself being right so many times before the thrill wears off. Why do they leave?

There is a certain other Christian site which shall remain nameless (unless you can figure out what it means to replace .net with .com) that allows that kind of nonsense all the time, and selectively enforces such behavior to the extent that their retention rate for members has to be measured in days, for the most part. This forum does a pretty good job of keeping things under control without acting like the thought police. Improvements? There's always room. But the mods here are easy to live with and run a clean forum.

Thanks! I seems Classik will have to share the cookies I bake for him with you!

You guys gotta admit we could use some new or returning members that stick around. Classik is going to get carpal tunnel.

Some times folks come through, cause they are looking for a place to land, sorta like they got to find the shoe that fits.... I tried other forums before I hit here.... Got booted out of a couple ... This place allows for freedom of opinion within the realms of Christianity. We moderators have different Christian backgrounds I believe that is very helpful .... By the way Gordon, Numbers has to share those fresh warm out of the oven cookies.....

One aspect about forums that is universal: There is a core group of members who will be in attendance on a regular basis. There will be one group who is in attendance frequently. There will be one group who will attend occasionally. There will be one group who will stop by from time to time, but less often than the 'occasional' group. There will be one group who join, hang around a few days, then not return for some time. The last group is the one who joins, hangs around a few days, then leaves for good.

Of course, there is the group who join, but later don't bother to sign in unless they see a thread that ignites a response within them.

It would be nice to have more of the members here on a regular basis. But then again, perhaps Classik wouldn't be inspired to create the threads he has. And then where would we be????

We'd be in trouble without Classik. Gonna pass on the cookies I have a diet I am not sticking too :) I don't want to come across like I am criticizing you guys but I think retention is an issue. I actually pm'd someone please be careful you don't burn yourself out on here because you are a good contributor. I think the core members really set the tone and we could use a few more. Not saying I am one but I've been on a ton the last few weeks. I can only tease classik so many times before he snaps on me ;)

One special thing about cyber cookies zero calories :)

Don't think I last a week at Rapture Ready forum....

I have seen changes in the general posting crowd.... Some are always going to be STUCK where they are.... But the views have mellow in what I believe to be a good way.

Nah, Classik won't snap .... he's too much of a sweetheart to do something as blatant as that.

Besides.........he wouldn't want all of us to show up at his home for a visit of a month or so !

:biglol

IF Classik misbehaves we will just quickly delete any and all soccer threads :grumpy :)
