Why some forumers would quit CF.net

If I start pickin on ya will hang around :)

one of my favorite things about this site is we are all different.... this place is not cookie cutter....

I'm liking that too. And even if people on here disagree as long as you are kind about it things are fine generally. On the other forum I was on (I was on there for four years) it has changed a lot and now if you are more conservative (or even just opposed to gay "marriage") there are a lot of the "popular" people who attack you. Of course there are great people on there too, but there is just too much meanness on there now.

Seems like most things these sites have a rhythm .. Some site may be good but look too 'busy' this one is simple to my eyes....

Please no, your out voted it's eyes on mine too.
But I have the power....:lol

Here's a fun game to play - go down the bottom of the page, and on the left there's a drop-down box that says "Reset Default Style". Click and select the "Troll Style". How's that? :D

KIDS :grumpy

There have been a few good changes lately , they are subtle and keeps things peaceful...

Change that real quickly???? Soccer-wise? Then go ahead!

If you ever are in the mood to do a lot of work on the forum, the forum with the best design I have seen is Homeschoolalumni.org. ;) The forum currently is not that nice to be on but it does have a good design.

That other forum I mentioned? That's their problem. One viewpoint, and its the only one they tolerate.

I'm pretty sure I've been on that other forum you mention for 7 years, and I rarely have had issues. I've found the moderators to be fair, and the site certainly doesn't have one viewpoint. I mean, seekers and non-believers are allowed to post in a lot of the areas that only Christians used to be allowed to post in in the past. That said, if you are having a lot of issues with the mods, it probably has to do with trying to shove some doctrine down someone's throat. I'm not saying you are that type of person, but I tend to stay away from the theology sections of the forum, because too many people get cutthroat when "discussing" theology.

And honestly, it's this forum that I find has the lack of diversity in beliefs that makes me cautious about even discussing various topics. I mean, if I hear more than a small minority saying 'If you don't vote Republican, you aren't a Christian,' then I have a problem with that forum. We shouldn't be judging people's salvations based on something like that. What's next- 'If you wear gold jewelry, you must not be a Christian'? Paul said not to judge others on the minor things (Romans 14:1). People tend to stay where they feel welcome and loved. Personally if I was running a forum like this and I saw people disrespecting others intentionally (on a personal attack level) because the attacker thought they were Scripturally correct, that person would receive a swift talking to, and if they kept it up, I would temp or perma ban them. Love is what wins people over, not trying to force our viewpoints down others' throats until they submit to us under the harsh tongue-lashings.

Thank you for not being judgmental. [/sarcasm]

Now I've found the REAL reason people leave Christina Forums.net. I tried "Troll Style" and it almost made me barf my chicken nuggets. That's enough to make anyone leave! :-D

I'd barf my chicken nuggets without trolling or doing anything else other than eating the nuggets. KFC was right in making fun of "parts is parts" -- but theirs aren't any better than the others.
