.....Paul from spreading the Gospel since that is the command to all disciples? Is this explained elsewhere in the NT?
Act 15:39 And there arose a sharp disagreement, so that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus,
Act 15:40 but Paul chose Silas and departed, having been commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.
Act 15:41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
Act 16:6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.
Act 16:7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.
Act 16:8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas.

Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Brother, you are noticing the difference in the following two scriptures.

Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. The apostles were doing this, but then when on their way in Act 16:9 there was a different urgency. “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.”

And then were those of Asia ready to receive the gospel? God knows.
There’s coming a time when every nation shall receive the word. Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
