Wicca: 'a demonic cult of rebellion' says leading author

okay trollish one...

Just a quick recap here for you...

you stated that Kathi claimed to be an "EX-queen of the black witches"

something that she has not done.
something that doesn't even exist actually.

none of us has stated that witchcraft is a good thing.

Soooooo..

Can the phoney-baloney strawman arguments and just accept that
Kathi does not claim to be an ex-queen.. yadayada yada...

otherwise I'll take the gloves off and publically dissect the rest of
the things you have said.

your choice.

I think many of you here know very little about Wicca,

Personally, I have absorbed some of its outlooks and practices into my own spiritual life. It is a an earth centered religion, and yes, it does involve the practice of magic. However, the first rule of Wicca is that one only practicies magic for the sake of the good, any promotion of harm or evil is strictly forbidden. Using a spell against another human being would be very much like praying for someone's death.

In fact, casting a spell and praying are not all together that different. I consider the practice of magic to be very much like a highly ritualized form of prayer in which one attempts to direct their consciousness force towards the greater good and attempts to connect themselves to the Ultimate Divine Source of their being.

Deuteronomy 18:9-13 forbids ALL occult practices

God destroyed ancient empires' 'civilisations' @ Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece & Rome for 'whoring after false gods'

Just as He dispossessed the Canaanites for defiling the Promised Land that He chose to give to Israel as His faithful bride - then dispossessed them for 'whoring after false gods' - but has fulfilled His promise to bring them back to their own land & protect them in it

& He will destroy EU's revived Roman Empire for the same, per Daniel 7 & Revelation 18

'New Age' is ancient occult, merely spin-doctored

Sept 'Direction' Mag @ http://www.elim.org.uk - to find the nearest church with free copies - has a feature @ outreach to New Agers

'Our God is a jealous God...He will not share His glory with idols'

He said, 'It is not for your sake, O Israel, that I will do these things, but for the sake of My name, which you have blasphemed among the nations...'

The occult not only blasphemes it, but seeks to wrest power from God & use it for evil - just as Satan did in Isaiah 14 & Ezekiel 28

Turn away from the dark side - before it is too late:-

prayer and magik.. indeed..

here are some of my musings upon the subject.

http://www.ancientcrossroads.org/PrayerVsMagik.html

No time to read it now, but the first 2 lines kinda arouse suspicion, fellow-sleuths out there...

In da words of da great philosopher, Gov Arnie Shwarzy...

"I'll be back!"

Ian
the first couple lines?

"It seems to come up wherever Christians and Pagans dialogue.
Not that that's a whole bunch of places mind you. :)"

Hi Mark!

God's timing is quite amazing & now that I've had the time to read thru most of your website, I do commend you for it

I'll just say that Doreen Irvine was certainly an ex-Queen of Black Witches, but that musta been @ 40 years ago & it is quite possible that there may not be such a title now: spin doctoring sure goes on in the occult & Jesus called Satan the 'father of lies' & the 'great deceiver' - as well as those 2 names in Revelation that both mean destroyer, so obviously caution & discernment is well advised - 'test everything: hold onto the good'

What still rings the alarm bells is the attempt to discredit Doreen, as she was the 1st to whistle-blow @ that EU conference of witches & satanists that she chaired, that first planned to market the occult by presenting it as harmless fun - selling ouija boards/planchettes as toys & using kids' films/TV shows etc to cultivate a dangerous fascination @ the demonic occult

I may be able to PM Kathi later, but as I've said elsewhere, & as this site recommends, PMs are really for personal stuff & whatever needs to be said @ this topic should be on the board, so that others can benefit

What does she want with MY email address?

Security risk should be obvious to a teen, let alone a genuine adult leader of such a confidential & delicate ministry, yes?

Think @ it: if I rang & she said, 'I'm the real Kathi Sharpe', that would prove nothing, as I don't know what she sounds like - it's a matter of truth @ the subject, not personal identity of posters, which is advised to be anonymous on all 'Net forums: which is the biggest doubt @ someone who really runs http://www.ex-witch.org maybe leading someone young & vulnerable to reveal their address/phone number like she claims to have done, yes?

In fact, I would suggest Mods investigate that, for members' safety

Joy Mag sure said Kathi Sharpe was an ex-Queen of Black Witches: maybe http://www.ag.org.uk links to the mag if anyone wants to ask them @ the records of interviews etc & any possibility of journalistic error

I doubt it, as I'm sure the real Kathi is well known to Joy Mag staff, being an AoG member & popular speaker on their circuit

I sure don't believe that there has never been any such title as Doreen had - I've met her & heard her seminars, etc

Must go deal with my emails & other threads for now

Later, 'Gators!

Ian

Ian,

You are, of course, quite free to believe the foolishness that people
spout in order to bolster their reputation.

As to the matter of Kathi Sharpe.. you used a different source for this claim
in 2004 at another forum.

I don't believe you will get any better traction with Joy magazine than you
did with trying to back the "Kathi was queen of the witches" nonsense with them.

However, as you mentioned it.. The ExWitch staff is conducting an investigation
into this matter.
So far it doesn't look good for your claim though.
We've talked to her on the phone.. corresponded via letters, posts, and email..
Many of us have met her in person...
So, at the moment, many of us are in the process of concluding that she
is indeed a real person.
and that she has never given anyone the permission to make the foolish
claim that she is "ex-queen of the black witches.."

now, if you had said "ex-queen of the PURPLE witches" you might have made
a case I don't know though....

*shrugs*

in any case Ian.
there are quite a few ways for you to verify that the username
kathisharpe is indeed Kathi Sharp.

your choice not to do so is rather amusing, but unimportant to me since
it would appear that you are going to stop claiming falsehoods regarding
her past.

cheers,
mark

Please be gentle with me, I joined this forum to try and get some of the good folk to see sense and hope that I get a fair hearing.
Firstly I used to go to a church near where I live, I was born again, I did accept Jesus as my saviour and accepted the trinity, Father Son and Holy Ghost.
Now I've said that, I'd better let you know what I do now.
I haven't got two heads, I'm human like the rest of you in here and I don't expect to be judged as there is only one judge and that's God, so I hope you accept wht I say.

I'm a holistic therapist, ie, massage, reflexology, Indian Head massage, aromatherapy and I also do other stuff which 99% of you won't accept, I'm sure. I'm a crystal healer, do reiki and I'm a pagan. ( I hope you don't get the fires burning just yet lol).

In wiccan faith there is no such thing as a queen of witches, this was written because they wanted a much higher station than they actually have. The only position a woman can have is a high priestess who is in charge of a coven (she may have under her wing 3 or 4 covens but she is still a high priestess and nothing else). Now that one is sorted.
We do pray to God but a lot of the false teaching which churches have about us. I don't worship the devil, I don't sacrifice anything in the fire, I'm just a healer who wants to carry on healing. I'm not into curses as if you checked this one out you would find that most witches live by the wiccan rede which states, Do what you will but harm none. It doesn't mean that you can do as much damage to people as it always come back on the person who sends out the negative thoughts (energy out), how would you like it you sent out something and you got it back 9 times as much, would you bother to send it out in the first place. This is where the three fold law comes in as it really means we get it back 9 times 9 which is a great deal. This is why we just get into healing as it's not worth getting into trouble for, I do care what is said on here no matter what religion is mentioned as it seems that there is a few ego's on here, which should be given over to Jesus to sort out as we should be getting on with each other instead of fighting. This is how Satan first got chucked out of heaven, haven't we learnt anything or what.
I'm really sorry mods for putting this but I hope you give me a fair hearing.
lisa .

From what I haved looked into about Wicca, I have found nothing other than a religion of peace and healing, and definitely think that it can teach the world a few things...

However, I'm sure you're post will anger the mods...they don't really tolerate speaking of other faiths in a positive manner. This website is more about espousing Christian truths....which seems to mean more or less, little more than the supression, misrepresentation and slandering of anything that they disagree with in the name Christ. (even amongst one another)

Hello AHIMSA,
LOok I don't know what happens in here, I'm just a guest like everyone else. I don't have any problems with the people in charge, after all it's their website and they can choose whatever they want to keep in within the rules. At the time I sighned up I read the rules and accepted what it had to say and I don't have a problem with it. If they have a problem with me then I really hope that they have the courage to tell me about it either in here or a private message then we can work it out as it's the right way to go. If they want to ask me any questions on what I do then I'm quite willing to ask, I'm quite open to the fact that on some area's we won't agree but it's no one's fault by ourselves. I'm not on here to argue as it can damage everyone's walk and I'm more in to the positive side of life, the negative stuff can be left on a shelve as far as I'm concerned, even Jesus talked to the sinners so I'm in good company lol (sorry couldn't resist lol)
anyway speak to you again.
lisa

Just time to post 2 Timothy 3 & 1 Timothy 4:1

Emphasising that Satan is 'the great deceiver' - using charm

'Charm is deceptive...'
