Bible Study Will Only A Few People Be Saved? No. A Great Multitude Will Be Saved.

O.K., I'll bite. What's your opinion.
(seems like relatively innocuous verses ... phew) :)
I believe the two verses tie in perfectly with each other and with the rest of the preceding verses. I don't believe they are "wild" nor do I believe they have some complicated meaning. Verse 12 is simply speaking of the then current Temple crowd and verse eleven is tied to verse twelve in that John was qualified to be in the Temple crowd yet rejected them just like the Temple crowd rejected him. Therefore, under the Temple administration of the Kingdom, John was the least. Jesus was not ,therefore dissing John in any way, but just stating the then current fact. Jesus meant in no way to imply John would be the least when He took over that administration after the crucifixion. My interpretation keeps all the verses in line and in context with what John and Jesus had been saying about the Temple bunch all along up to that point.
