Will there be greed in heaven?

We see how Satan wanted to be over God and he fell and when we end up in heaven and seeing there our fellow believers in different positions higher and lower than us. Will there be greed in heaven?

That was Satan and you know what happened to him. No,there will be no greed in heaven. What do you mean "our fellow believers in different positions in heaven"?There is no ranking in heaven.

Guys on OSAS side do believe that the are ranking in heavens. Hope there won't be any rankings.

Greed is a sin. There will be no sin in heaven.

Why do you believe that OSAS believers think their is ranking in heaven?

Because I do hear grace preachers say you are saved by faith and whatever you do apart from that is to earn reward in heaven and those who don't work they don't get rewards. Now when we speak of crowns I do believe there is some authority involved.

Pastor Dr.Tony Evans speaks out on heaven and hell. A must read!

I want to look at an interesting concept with you. It has to do with the statement in Revelation 22:2 that the leaves of the tree of life are for "the healing of the nations."

Revelation 21:4 NKJV says this, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” If heaven is a perfect place and we have resurrected, glorified spiritual bodies, why do we need a tree that produces healing? Why the need for a tree that produces life when we already have eternal life?

A possible answer lies in Revelation 21:24-26, in the description of the new Jerusalem. "The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.... Its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nation into it."

John is talking about a group of people who have access to the heavenly Jerusalem, but don't live there. He says kings and others come and go from the city bringing their glory into it.

In order to have kings, there have to be kingdoms for them to rule. John says there are people living outside the new Jerusalem who visit the city and bring their homage to God, the way pilgrims in our day might visit Mecca. Who are these people, and why do the need the healing leaves of the tree of life?

There is only one group of people left on earth to go into eternity in their physical bodies - those who were true to Jesus Christ and served Him during His millennial kingdom. They go into eternity after the Millennium with physical glorified bodies, not spiritual glorified bodies like we will have, because they did not experience death and resurrection.

To put in another way, these people will go into eternity with bodies like Adam and Eve had at their creation before they were flawed by sin. Their perfect physical bodies will be maintained through a special provision from God.

The bible indicates that the new, renovated earth will be occupied in eternity. This group from the Millennium will fill the earth because they will still be able to procreate. These people will make up the nations who aging the universe.

Lets be a bit careful lumping folks into this box or that box...

Not every ______ believes or thinks like the other.
Fill the blank with any denomination group etc...

Yes,their are rewards in heaven and some people will have rewards taken away but that has nothing to do with different ranks in heaven. We will be the same in heaven. No one more glorious or more important that the other.

There is "Ranking" in Heaven if you want to call it that, but not Heaven as where God resides Jesus saying "My Father in Heaven" but there will be levels of positions under Jesus in the new Heaven and Earth.

God does not run a socialist system.

I don't have a real good method of posting scriptures on my Tablet, but there are many scriptures that tell us this.

Rom 9:24 Paul speaks about running your race to obtain a prize. Get your crown. This qualifies you for your best position later.

Revelation tells us we will rule and reign with Jesus, be part of the governing system with Him.

1 Pet:5 We are told to feed the flock of God, not as Lords over his heritage, or greedy, but being examples to God's people and when the Shepard shows up, we get a crown of glory that shall not fade away.

I doubt Paul or Peter were saying that if you don't run the race or be examples you go to Hell, but that you don't get the same reward as someone that ran their race and followed the plan of God.

Paul said a mans works shall be tried by fire, if the man has no works that were the plan of God, but his own, then his works are burnt up, but the man Himself is still saved. So the man shows up with nothing, but still saved.
1 Cor 3:13

Peter says the trying of your faith is as Gold, so that all is Good when Jesus shows up.
Jesus said will he find faith on earth when He returns. We don't want to be caught with unbelief and fear of anything.

Jesus said Luke 16:8
Be friends with unrighteous mammon, or get to understand the system, and operate wisely in that system of wealth. Be faithful over another mans things, and you will be given your own things and TRUE RICHES.

I believe that being faithful here on earth qualifies you for promotion from the Lord, and increasing. I don't think that more money though is the true riches as that is still just unrighteous mammon added unto you.

I heard it preached that True riches means more anointing and favor of the Lord. Well, there are different levels of favor with the Lord. Even Jesus did not start out with full Favor from God so we don't just bypass our example, but follow his example to reach what He did.

I also believe these true riches are stored for later in postion of being faithful with things in the new city with Jesus, when Jesus takes rule of the Earth.
It's also said in Mat 6 if you sow into the Kingdom of God, put the Kingdom first you shall have treasure in heaven. You can call on that treasure to help here on earth as you won't need the funds in Heaven, but It may also effect postion with Jesus later if your heart stayed on the Kingdom here.

Jesus said in the talents that One was faithful to get handed 10 cities, the other 5 cities.

Luke 19:17

The whole system was to be faithful, run your race, do the will of God and there is reward.

In Heaven there is 12 names on the wall of the City of all the original 12 Apostles. That is a position of Honor.
No reason to believe that many of us shall not also have some postion of honor.

We don't change once we die to be with the Lord, we are still the same person as when we left. Things will be more clear, but we don't want the unfaithful here on Earth to be ruling with Jesus as Jesus said if you had been unfaithful in the little things, you will be unfaithful in the greater things.

There is no such thing as turning your nose up at the small things, but suddenly being serious and faithful in greater things.

Anyway..............

Now what will Jesus do with those who have the most rewards? Will advantages come with that?Give them more responsibility in heaven as to what job He gives them?I do not know. But that certainly does not give them a higher rank.

All I know about is crowns. I think if the elders know that all crowns, honor, glory, and power, belong to Him, so will we.
Rev 4:9 and when the living creatures do give glory, and honour, and thanks, to Him who is sitting upon the throne, who is living to the ages of the ages,
Rev 4:10 fall down do the twenty and four elders before Him who is sitting upon the throne, and bow before Him who is living to the ages of the ages, and they cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Rev 4:11 `Worthy art Thou, O Lord, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, because Thou--Thou didst create the all things, and because of Thy will are they, and they were created.'

Yes,there are 5 crowns and that is our reward. There is something called a white stone that we will get when we go to heaven. That is in Scripture.

Nothing impure, unclean, or evil will enter into it.
Revelation 21:27

No. When we repent of our sin, we are in heaven. When we commit the sin of greed, we are no longer in heaven.
