Frankly, I had never before heard of lambda sensors. I thought it was a device for checking if Einstein's cosmological constant lambda Λ is different from zero or not.

gluttony, the range of the lambda sensor is 0 to 1 v , usually its .5volts for stoichometric amounts of air in the cylinders(a/f ratio) below .5 v rich, above lean. the sensor produces voltage by reacting with the passing 02 in the exhaust manifold.
