As we bundle up due to blizzards and ice, and sleet and freezing fog, the world weather report says something different.

1. Global warming has not stopped.
The temps are rising around the world at an alarming rate.
This is the truth from NASA.

2. Older thicker ice giving way to younger thinner ice.
The ice caps are melting, the ice bergs are floating away towards civilization.
World flooding along the coastlines is a real possibility.

3. Warmest November ever recorded.
Europe and Antarctica were extremely warm, giving the world a higher temp than ever before.

Stay tuned for more disastrous news here on the weather forum.

That's the difference between weather and climate. You can still have cold weather while the climate is getting warmer.

The TOG

We're looking forward to the coldest run we've had in probably 15 years as best I can recall. Our winters since 1996 have been relatively warm and pleasant but this year has slapped us in the face with reality.

We've been getting down into double-digits below zero F. for about two weeks now with just an occasional warmer day, like today, but they are short-lived. Today we are in double-digits above zero for a change but here's the forecast Hi's and Lo's for the next few days again.
Saturday (tomorrow) 2 F.
Saturday night -26 F.
Sunday -16 F.
Sunday night -30 F.
Monday -20 F.
Monday night -25 F.
Tuesday -7 F.

These temps are tough enough but the worst part is the wind. The forecast includes blowing snow through the entire week and that means wind, translated as wind chills in -40 F. to -60 F. range.

I remember winters like this through the 1970's and 1980's.

Stupidly warm here.
In november we had one evening so warm I went home barefood wearing a sleevless shirt and jeans. November is usually the month to expect the first frosty nights, not to have the last summer nights.
Several days during the last week I could walk around outside without wearing a jacket. Today I was sitting outside on a park bench with a friend for an hour without even remotely freezing. It's like 10 Celsius.

Anyway. Weather isn't climate. You guys having a cold winter wouldn't negate global warming, just like us having a ridiculously warm winter doesn't confirm global warming. Look at global and regional temperature and precipitation trends for the last decades and you will see the upwards trend.

This is the part of 'climate change' i completely object to.. (I do not know the truth of this article )
American taxpayers spent $7.45 billion to help developing countries cope with climate change in fiscal years 2010 through 2012, according to a federal government report submitted to the United Nations on a subject that Secretary of State John Kerry described as “a truly life-and-death challenge.” - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/pat...-3-years-helping-other-countries-deal-climate

We should keep good care of the earth it is God's ... The climate has had rhythms from creation ( a simple sample chart i am not claiming it to be truth)
How can it cost over 7 billion $$ to suggest/share with someone a list of good ideas to do the small part man can...

If man is the reason for the heat how, what, heated the earth in the times shown in this chart?
Science tells me the place i live was under ice about 4-7 hundred years ago. Where was the human population that caused the thaw?

CO² and other greenhouse gases heated the earth's atmosphere. That graph you quoted even shows an increase in the atmosphere's CO² paralleling each temperature increase.
Now consider all the CO² we put into the atmosphere. CO² went alongside temperature increase in the past. Now we have a temperature increase as well. Wouldn't it be logical to conclude that the temperature increase is related to our CO² output?
Whatever caused the rise in CO² in the ages past, nowadays we are the number one source by far for rising levels CO².

John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Thank you doctor, when will global warming kill me?
Global warming is bad.

That's a difficult question.
Putting it simple though, the process of global warming can cause events, like heavy weather, heat waves, storms, floods, droughts, and food shortage, and maybe social unrest over resources that are harder to obtain in a less comfortable world damaged by all the things mentioned. All of those things will kill people. And since all those things will get more frequent when the climate heats up more people will die, get injured, or lose their homes. Pray that you are't one of them. Pray that we are wrong about global warming and when your day has come, hopefully that day is many years away, you can die in your bed peacefully on a sunny and mild day in Florida.

You're predicting an October death for me.
What year? (say 2064)

You wanna get to 100?
I have a high chance.

grandmother died at 92, great aunt 98, grand 96, and few others I cant remember.my grandmothers older brother is still alive. he is elder to her by 4 years.

Dude my granny is 102 and still standing. None of my relatives died younger than 90, except for my grandfather who succumbed to heart failure at about merely seventy. He was also the only chain smoker, wonder if that's related. lol
