Worst movies of all time list

I definitley agree with you there. that movie was so boring. I fell asleep after watching like 10 min of it. I woke up on the part where the old lady drops that blue jewel. it made me cry, i was only 8 when I saw that movie.

Sillygeezer, I think you are definately on to something with battlefield earth. It is the first and last movie where the entire cast and crew were completely scientologists. It was meant that way, but obviously it didn't work at all. It was a stinker for certain.

I must add another movie to my "Oh my goodness, I'll never get that hour and a half back!" list. My children told me how good it was and how much I needed to see "Napolean Dynamite." My husband can and usually does watch anything. He got up during the movie and went and helped a friend hang sheet rock. He asked me if I was really going to keep watching, I said, "I'm waiting for the plot to begin." Silly me, there is no plot to this movie!!! And the fact that they're making t-shirts that say, "Vote for Pedro" just makes me ill. :smt078

txbkldy,
You missed the entire point, it was a comedy without a plot. Or the plot may be like all "indy" movies...dorky guy gets dorky girl.

I'm guessing you were not a dork or couldn't admit it if you were. Those who were dorks in highs school (the majority) laugh because they did many things just like napoleon.

Another thing is that I see the majority of people over the age of 35 not liking it because they can't understand a movie having the entire purpose of just being akward. :D

Beloved - with Oprah Winfrey in it - was the worse movie I've ever seen.

Me,myself and Irene - really offended me in parts

Running on Empty - a tacky Australian move made in the 80's.

That's all I can think of right now.

I have just seen another movie that edges into my worst 5 list.

Alien 3000...
Lorenzo Lamas is the "big name" of the movie. (from the show Renegade)

It is about 2 aliens that are stuck on earth, but "haunt" a cave that contains the gold that they are eating to survive on until the other aliens return to get them. So a random girl in an insane asylum has dreams of these aliens so the government sends her in with a few "special" forces personel to find the aliens. The group includes a "soldier", a redneck with a shotgun, 2 random cops, another soldier with his girlfriend and of course the insane girl. There was no real reason for the random girlfriend except for a certain death and the comedy of the nonsexual sex scenes where the man yells "jeff foxworthy" during sex, it was not tempting, but hilarious. So it is bad, until the really "special" effects happen, like the truck they are driving is supposed to blow up. The actual truck is a toyota, but the really bad model is a poorly painted model truck of a ford. The alien has 2 frames of action throughout the entire movie, it looks like a really bad gif avatar.

This one is atrocious. But I still advise getting a group of people who can appreciate how bad a movie is and be able to laugh at it. :-D Just fast forward through the first couple minutes to avoid the only nudity in the movie. The rest is sex free except some very non sexual funny scenes where nothing is seen.

Plughead Rewired: Circuitry Man II. (it sounds like it should be a comedy but it's actually trying to be serious.)

then Jason X possibly.

I have yet another one to add to the list.

Blade Trinity

Interesting I loved the movie. Of course the F-word was used a bit much.

Me, myself and Irene and Cable guy 2 of Carey's best movies???

WOW :o it takes all sorts of opinions I guess

What about Eternal sunshine for the spotless mind, or man on the moon, I know they are dark comedies, but they are by far better. Actually these and ace ventura are the only 3 I can stand. I didn't like the mask either.

I haven't seen Eternal Sunshine but 'Liar Liar' and 'The Truman Show' were his best movies IMO. Perhaps Ace Ventura too.

Cable Guy was my favorite and Dumb and Dumber was a close second. I'm not usually a fan of over-the-top comedies but those two cracked me up. Liar, Liar, Truman Show and Man in the Moon were all pretty good too. Usually for comedies I stick with Seinfeld (I'm a diehard), and Bill Murray movies (90's and 80's).

Eternal Sunshine was a great concept but the movie never went anywhere. I enjoy watching Focus Films movies because they are original and usually different from the norm. However in a genre of creative movies like "Being John Malkovich" (which I did like), Eternal Sunshine is one that I probably won't watch again. Its worth a watch if you haven't seen it but thats about it.

I couldn't even finish Being John Malcovich...ugghhh :sad

But I'm with you on some of the Bill Murray movies. Groundhog day was awesome. The newest one he has about the submarine captain is pretty funny in a odd quirky way.

I completely forgot about Dumb and Dumber and the truman show, both were good.

Let's go back a few years for a couple of mine.1) Willow- although I will admit that it may have had something to do with the girl that I took to see it (she wanted to see this movie; not me).2) Dark Man- horrible in every aspect. Now a more recent one. The Longest Yard (Adam Sandler version). I have seen the original so many times that this one made me cringe. I mean the title is THE LONGEST YARD! They went for two to win the game which takes place at the 3 YARD LINE. That just rubbed me the wrong way. To go by the original as much as they did and then make this horrible change just ruined the movie.

I agree.

Beloved was really, really, really bad.

Some others for me are:

Open Water
War of the Worlds
Sign Of the Times
Head of State
Car Wash (Remake)
Alien vs Predator
and many more.

We have taken a liking to independent films, such as.

Life is Beautiful
The Constant Gardner
An Unfinshed Life
Crash
I'm not Scared (Foreign)
and many more.

Some that are stupid, but funny none the less.
Student Bodies (80's flick)
Joe Dirt

Peace V

Hey...Head of state wasn't that bad...horrible plot, bad acting but it was funny. I would say it wasn't even Cris Rock's worst movie, but I guess that doesn't mean much :-D

I would agree with Life Is Beautiful, an excellent movie. Haven't really seen any of the others on the list though.

Another "bad" movie that is just awesome and funny is an early 80's movie called "Strange Brew" Starred rick moranis sp? hilarious, I actually own it. What is better, it is a movie making fun of canadians :-D

"Strange Brew" is like the SNL movies, Scary Movie series, Naked Gun and Hot Shots. It is meant to be stupid. It is a sketch from the 80s Canadian equivalent to SNL, SCTV. Similar to Wayne's World and Night At the Roxbury it is a sketch made into a full length movie.

Also, it is not making fun of Canadians. It's purpose for existing on SCTV to begin with is playing up the ridiculous stereotype that Americans have of Canadians. It is actually making fun of Americans when it gets right down to it.

And like Rick Mercer's "Talking to Americans", Americans are too laughably ignorant to realize that they are the butt of the jokes. :-D
