17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. KJV

Rev 17:12
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. KJV

Rev 17:16-18
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. KJV

2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;

3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

Ezek 27:32
32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea? KJV

Ezek 28:2
2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: KJV

2 Thess 2:3-4
and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. KJV

This is all one subject. The same yesterday, today and forever, in the Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father as they reveal the mystery of iniquity and the man of sin.

Yes, and those entities of course are Nations and as such, nations have leaders and leaders have ideologies to which they view and respond to the world around them with.

For some clarity, I'm not saying that there isn't a spiritual aspect to Ezekiel 28. Are you saying that there isn't a historical aspect?

No, not at all. They are examples.

You see, Jesus spent a lot of time talking about the here and now and as a matter of fact, Jesus talked more about bringing heaven to earth, than he did about heaven as a destination... In other words, scripture always takes on the material... it's never separated from the spiritual. With this in mind, what did the world look like when Ezekiel 28 was written and what can we take away from the perspective for modern or future events?

I think these are fair questions. Don't you?

Yes they are. :yes Much of that chapter is future....I will bring strangers upon thee...They shall bring thee...thou shalt die...thou shalt be a man...thou shalt die the deaths.

It is the past, the present and the future.

Come on, there is also a verse in Eccl. 3:14 + Rev. 22:18-19 that WARNS us to not teach opossite Christ WORD!
Eze. 28 has this one who had been in Eden the Ga4rden of God even!

[12] Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

And Rom. 8:14??? Hardly so for some. ! 1 John 4:6
