Yesterday vs Today

If people in 3rd world countries understand God better, why do many have children then watch starve to death?. Do they think its ok God will provide?. God has provided. He gave Christ. What more do they expect. Christ said if your thirsty drink, if your hungry, eat.

Im not sure God is talking materially. I guess thats why you get so many non believers critisize God and say "if God is so good, then why does he allow so much suffering".
No, I don't think it's all materially either, but God does say He will fulfill all our needs if we are being faithful to Him.

I mention believers in those countries because they don't have money to purchase things, nor do they have money to visit doctors - and God does heal them. The Church in China is growing incredibly fast and it's not even legal there. This is the power of God I was referring to.

The suffering is NOT God's choice, free will of the created by the creator......Bad choices bring bad results....

Those people didn't choose to be born into that life. The starving children are witness to that.

Yes, but it is no different from 1st world believers. Believers are believers. It was just that post separated and try to say 3rd world countrys know more about God than 1st world counties. That is a division and i dont like division.
I wasn't trying to divide at all, I was just trying to point out that people rely on their money here more so in those countries. We can say we are blessed by God here because we do have more money.

The point I was trying to make - really - was that when people struggle here - when we are weak - that is when God is strong. The verse just got brought up here - when we are weak, He is strong.

Consider it pure joy, my brethren, when we face trials of many kinds because it produces perseverance, and we know we need perseverance in order to be perfected, lacking in nothing.

Are they?

Would you consider yourself spiritually equal with the members of Benny Hinn's congregation? Or how about a practicing homosexual minister?

I'm not and I don't believe you are either. There's a great deception taking place in the world right now. It's in the early stages, but it's growing.

Gary hi,
What deception are you talking about ?

You really believe that explains it all?
Did I say it explains it all ? I dont think thats what I said ? Anywho I asked and howmany times does this get in the way ? There is a lot that plays into it all. Wars, fighting, poverty etc. Also remember not all that you see on tv is is on the level. One guy got busted using everyday kids and making them look bad and building some shacks etc.
Again not all is like this.....

A spin-off from another thread, a comment was made by me that this time period is much worse than it was a few or several decades ago as far as values and morals, temptations of sexual immorality, etc.

How about you? Are times better today than they were in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's than in the 21st century? Please share your thoughts!

Thanks!

Gary
Haven't read any posts in this thread yet, but I'll chime in with my 2 cents anyway. :lol

It is worse in that personal restraint has been loosened. The capacity for shame and embarrassment is disappearing in the name of personal rights and freedoms, which includes the freedom to sin against traditional religious beliefs.

It's not that men's hearts are any better than they were in past generations. It's just that we see what's in men's hearts expressed more easily and frequently and openly, perhaps mainly because of increased opportunities to do that--each successive generation taking that liberty to do so one step further than the last.

When the personal computer came into the homes of people, things changed very much. That was a game changer.

How about "Alfred E. Newman for president"?
Yeah, I do remember that, lol.

But now we can say, 'been there, done that'.

How'd you all learn anything without computers? haha

You make sense, Jethro, I wonder why people's shame/embarrassment has disappeared?
