Bible Study You cannot touch or eat of the fruit...

I believe that God didn't want them to touch it, or go near it, regardless of whether He told Eve later after His conversation with Adam, or whether Adam added that bit on later himself as he passed that info on to Eve, or whether Eve added it on herself.

Why would they have wanted to touch the fruit and then not eat it? God wanted them to stay far away IMO.

I don't assume that the Bible gives us a complete blow-by-blow of every single conversation.

We are in agreement.
