Young People Seeking God

Agreed on all.
I do find, however, that parents are not teaching their children about God.
I used to speak about Jesus as if He were part of our family when my kids were growing up.
And yet, one of them is born again and one is not.

It is still a personal decision, just as you've stated.
Wouldn't you say that not teaching your children would be a fruit Wondering?

NOT teaching children is a fruit?
You mean a bitter fruit?

We should be teaching our children about God right?
Except there are so many atheists around, and they are the majority right now.
It grows exponentially with each generation...
(atheism, I mean).

I used to teach my religion kids that we're born with a God-shaped hole in our heart that only God can fill.

Young people are not getting sufficient teaching on moral values.

We, as humans, cannot function without an objective moral standard...

Or can we?

Are the commandments still valid?
We cannot function without an objective moral standard at all, nor can society function without God. I think Ben Shapiro puts it quite nicely

Now as far as the commandments, what do you mean by valid?

Of course it is a fruit maam, when Jesus used the term what was it's application? Was he talking peaches and pears? No, he was speaking about identifiers of his followers. If a person chooses not to share the knowledge God gave him, especially to his children, I believe Jesus was very correct, his fruits definitely reveal him. A true Christian especially desires their own flesh and blood descendants to serve God as they do. Anything else would certainly be a lack of love.

I love Shapiro.
Talk about woke...he's been banned from speaking at different universities because there was such outcry from the left that his speech had to be cancelled.

As to the commandments still being valid.
It doesn't seem like they are.
(I mean for the secular world - where they did matter at one time)

People steal, affairs, dishonoring parents...

I'm thinking of Sam Harris and those that believe as he does,
that we can still be a moral society even without objective moral values - which come from God of course.

I DON'T THINK SO!

Yes. OK. You could tell a tree by its fruit.
By our fruits we will be known.

Sam Harris is quite the guy but that philosophy is quite wrong.

If there is no God, everything is permitted - Fyodor Dostoevsky's
