Youthful intercourse is okay

Some churches may discommunicate them or punish them according (using the bible - of course out of love). However, so may take it so harshly...and at the earth make the matter worse
You've given me no reason to not think you are a devout, God fearing Christian who wants to do right in all things, and I mean that sincerely. So, let me ask you this: As a devout, dedicated Christian who's heart's desire is to always do good and seek the Lord, if you sinned and your church came down on you too heavily would that really change how devout and God loving/fearing you are? Would you hold what the church did to you against God and let it change your relationship with God?

I had to correct the typos :shocked

No! This can't change my relationship with God. However it may psychologically destroy me. It all depends on how harsh the church was on the matter.

Some have such strange emotions. Some might get hardened when cautioned harshly. We lost a member this way. She's still a christian.

Most of these women usually have two things in mind: (mainly when they are severly critisised): murder or abortion. Majority would go for abortion. Some might commit murder. [a neigbor had a similar encounter. She finally gave birth to her baby but killed her afterwards. She felt frutrated or thought she had done worse things than the devil himself.] I still remember her face :sad

I don't condone harshness at all. I think the key here is 'taking' it harshly. Every effort should be to correct the one who has sinned, politely and lovingly. But it is a two way street. The one being corrected has to not take it harshly if in fact it was not given harshly.

What helps me understand how to maybe handle this (what little I know about these kinds of things, lol) is the example of a couple many years ago who were dating in our church who ended up sleeping together. With the pastor next to them, they spoke to the church on a Sunday morning and confessed their sin to the congregation, asked forgiveness and the matter was never brought up again. Finished. Done. Sadly, too many churches think not talking about it and keeping the offender protected from examination and confrontation is somehow doing them and the church good. I've never seen that work. Protecting offenders from the truth is NOT the thing to do. That is a misguided 'love' for the sinner.

Well, I would certainly expect that scenario to change a person's relationship with that church, but not with God...at least not with a dedicated Christian.

It's sad. I know this happens.

Every church should be careful to never be found to have robbed the hope of forgiveness from a sinner through their judgmental attidute.

Ah, you mean 'end'.

I wondered what the 'earth' had to do with this, lol.

I was mocking the popular thinking among those who reject Christianity that all that matters in their view of God is that you reach out to others in love.

In that thinking the sexual immorality itself is not what matters to God. They seem oblivious to the fact that it's not very loving to the child to be sexually active when you're not prepared to bring that child into the world and take care of it. And it's not very loving to believe you are free to be irresponsible and then deliberately cast the consequences of your irresponsible behavior on others expecting, even insisting, they help you out. But, as we know, many today in the U.S. will vote for that as an acceptable way to live.
And yet what you mocked was a loving response. I find that odd.

You misunderstand.

I'm not mocking the loving response. What I'm mocking is the belief that taking care of unwed mothers is the only burden of love that God expects to be carried here and will be pleased with. And that, somehow, that alone is what God is looking for and will not hold any other responsibility of love against anyone involved. In this belief everyone goes away safe, guilt free, and at peace with God as long as reaching out to the mother was done. I'm mocking this very narrow and misguided belief that non-Christians usually defend.
