Hi Webb, I did not write it. I just put the webb site up. I did not say that is what I believe about you, but that is what written about the C of C, if it is not true, then say so. I have the C of C teachings in my library with many other religions doctrine, I only believe what Christ has taught me. The things we do to honor or praise the Lord are not called into question. What is guarded is the doctrine of salvation from apostasy.

This is why the mormons are not Christians no matter how much they try to tell you that they are. The "Jesus" they believe in is a different god. They just call him by the same name and try to disguise him as Jesus, the Son of God, but he is not.

We were discussing this a long time ago. There is an offshoot of the mormon church that call themselves the"Church of Christ", but they are not the same as the Christian "Church of Christ". It seems your friend is part of the one that is an offshoot of the mormon religion.

I, also, want to see this documented. The way it was posted looks a lot like an opinion and everybody has at least one of those that do not matter.

the people of the book. Yhwh's people. were in strong agreement, in unity, often enough to see it in Scripture, both in OT and NT.

Hi Taylor, Too many do not study early church history. This is where a lot of the teachings of Christ were polluted, and those errors and trespassers have followed them down through the ages.

Because I entered the Church at the late age of forty-five I, also have not studied enough but I know enough of God's progressive revelation of His Scriptural knowledge has resulted in a great deal of Corkscrewed Theology. The fight between the two major camps on Predestination being a prime example of the result of both the lack of and of the improper study of, the Word of God. I would have everyone in the Church Membership Roles study the scriptures as though their lives depended on it but that is not the case and is instead fuel for the stupidity of the Worldly.

Yes, I agree. But it looks like they outnumber us. But while we are weary, we are not weak, for if God is for us, then there is no power that can condemn us.

Yeah, like the Rapture (That one started in the 1580's, as I recall)
 
I knew a few people who were part of the Church of Christ and they left. One in particular said, the church is part of the cult and this church doesn't preach sound doctrine about Jesus Christ and wants to brain wash members. Many years ago, I called the Church of Christ and ask to speak with a Pastor. The Receptionist told me you don't need to speak with a Pastor. We are all Pastor's you can speak with me. I said to myself huh??? So I called another location. Believe it or not, I was told by another Receptionist, we are all Pastor's.... What the heck is wrong with this picture here. I don't know about you but does this sound like this makes any sense....This is one of their beliefs. "We believe that in the Bible is contained the word of God, that the Book of Mormon is an added witness for Christ, and that these contain the "fullness of the gospel.":confused

And What is even more disturbing is this:.

We believe a temple will be built in this generation, in Independence, Missouri, wherein Christ will reveal himself and endow his servants whom he chooses with power to preach the gospel in all the world to every kindred, tongue and people, that the promises of God to Israel may be fulfilled.

Sorry but I never heard of Missouri in the Bible!
