Is Church of Christ A Cult?

:shock I had no idea either.
They further believe:
10. We believe in the principle of continuous revelation; that the canon of scripture is not full, that God inspires men in every age and among all people, and that He speaks when, where, and through whom He may choose.

That's more Mormon doctrine.
That's how they (and the JWs) get away with changing their doctrine whenever it becomes embarrassing or inconvenient. (Like when being dark skinned being a sign of being cursed became inconvenient for the Mormons and Jesus failing to show up for any of the 5 times that the JWs said He would come.)

It breaks your heart.
Heretical teachings have been invented since the beginning of the church.
This is just more of the same.
The pity is that most people don't bother to do their homework but just believe whatever "feels" right.
We need to use our intellect to discern the truth, not our emotions.

2 Corinthians 2:11King James Version (KJV)
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Ephesians 6:11
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil,”

Absolutely! Many of times, people just rather hear a feel good so called gospel.

It makes you wonder why they don't believe the Qur'an is also revelation. Or maybe they do but they don't advertise it. Any number of religious texts could be considered revelation.

Some baptists believe the dark skin thing too. I remember hearing that at the church I grew up in. I was also frowned upon as a five year old for bringing my best friend, who happened to be black, to church with me when they had a dinner one time. Though they didn't not allow it.

I knew a few people who were part of the Church of Christ and they left. One in particular said, the church is part of the cult and this church doesn't preach sound doctrine about Jesus Christ and wants to brain wash members. Many years ago, I called the Church of Christ and ask to speak with a Pastor. The Receptionist told me you don't need to speak with a Pastor. We are all Pastor's you can speak with me. I said to myself huh??? So I called another location. Believe it or not, I was told by another Receptionist, we are all Pastor's.... What the heck is wrong with this picture here. I don't know about you but does this sound like this makes any sense....This is one of their beliefs. "We believe that in the Bible is contained the word of God, that the Book of Mormon is an added witness for Christ, and that these contain the "fullness of the gospel.":confused
The book of Mormon contains no truth and Joseph Smith was a heretic.

It is worthy of mention that the Church is filled with cults and cultic behavior. As mentioned the Baptists, of whom I am one, has it's own issues. We have one here, in Texas, with an openly queer pastor that preaches homosexuality as a godly style of life, definitely not grounded. I have heard some CoC Preachers that are very well grounded in the faith and then others that need help, big time but that same statement can be made of all segments of the Christian Faith.
